BLOG ON!***A Work In Progress

Thirty chapters of my book of fiction, "BLOG ON!", are now complete. Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and for some wonderful feedback to make the story better. With the multiple storylines I've conceived, this is still gonna take awhile longer ... longer than I originally imagined!

Any input or critique will be greatly appreciated as I would ultimately like to submit this story as a manuscript and see if someone might take a chance on publishing it. I continue to seek input on typos, grammatical errors, style, flow and technical content.

Input received so far has been really helpful:

1. Cut out a lot of the song lyrics in Chapter 13 (scene in Dick Steele's office). Too distracting from the storyline. Input provided by want2play926.
2. Don't repeat background information quite so much as the story moves from chapter to chapter. Input provided by want2play926.
3. San Francisco Bay Area technical corrections. Input provided by newaroundhere64.
4. UCLA Bruins should defeat the Florida Gators. Who else but [blog magnet4u22]!
5. Various technical corrections, e.g. spelling, grammar, reference to wrong name, etc. Input provided by SweetDarlinAngel
6. General encouragement to continue has been provided by: AmberSolaire, bardicman, BlondieInOz, GardenGnome2006, [blog goddess1946], [blog jaynbuck], katsback, keithcancook, [blog magnet4u22], micahbiguns, Michael_IG65, MOfunNOWWOW, [blog mzhunyhole], newaroundhere64, ohsodelicious, papyrina, phoenix_law, PrincessKarma, [blog saintlianna], scarlettsflame, SensuallyKatey, ShayeDK, Sorceror07, sparkee58, SweetDarlinAngel, tillerbabe, TravelinsAuntPat, TripleHARD3, want2play926, WillowWhispers2U, Whispersoftly5, and[blog 69bitemeplease69].

I now understand why book authors write
'Acknowlegments'. The writing process is tiresome and tedious. I am only about 40-50% complete with this story, and I'm growing very tired. The encouragement to continue has meant a lot to me. The help in finding errors has really been appreciated also!

I plan to write an 'Acknowlegment' too. But it will be different than any I've ever read before. It will refer to you bloggers by your handle. You have become my support group. You have become the most important people to contribute to my support as I endeavor to finish this task which I have started. You are the people who I wish to acknowledge. In some cases, I know your real life names. But in most cases, I don't. So the question will be how do I best acknowledge people who, for the most part, I've come to know only through the blogs?

Well, I can wait to answer that question in a serious way if and when I can find some publisher who will take a chance and publish this thing.

Anyway, I hope you know how much I really do appreciate your support, your encouragement and your help in identifying areas for improvement!

Well, back to work!

Thanks hon! I just thought I'd string together a continuous story and see if I could get the darned thing published. The extra money will come in handy when I get fired from my regular job for blogging so much!

I'm printing a good protion of your story out so I can lay in bed tonight and read it.

One of my best friends just had her first e-book published.
And is about to release her 2nd and 3rd. Once you finally
get published in some format, it gets even more exciting.
Well, for me anyway. LOL (Stressful for her)
I'm usually her sounding board on character names, titles, what not.
I'll definitely help ya out when I see something off.
I proof read her chapters frequently.

Wow! Thanks for the offer! Sounds like you have experience in these matters. I have none at all. Don't know how to go about contacting a publisher or any of that sort of thing. I think I'll just concentrate on writing it, cleaning up the details, etc. and then see what happens next!

Not sure what to call you for "short"? Do you prefer "69er" or "BiteMe"?

Will you go with me on my book signing tour, MO? Secret mission? Hmmmm? You mean to Neptune or Jupiter or wherever Kat is taking us or do you mean to "Georgia On My Mind"?

"ruggedly good looking Irish red headed studly macho man truck driving hero" ... Hmmmm? Second time you've asked!

Lemme see? Maybe I can write you in as a sanitation truck driver, or the truck driver for a cocaine smuggling ring, or a race car driver, ????. Which would you prefer?

You sick, sick man! You looked better with the other look! The pearl necklace, the heavy make-up, etc. Can you help me sell my book to the Gay Community?

The only other word for short that I can think of is "midget".
But if you call me a midget then I'll have Bard bitch slap you.

Someone gave me a new nickname the other day that I thought was
very different and original. You can use that for your book...
"Nolie"

"Nolie" ... I don't know the background for that nickname and perhaps I shouldn't ask. I'll call you "Nolie" or "BiteMe" for short! The "Bard" man cracks me up!
