Hotlisting; Is this the latest scam? Oct 20, 2010 4:01 am
427 Views
I've been visiting here for a few years and am rarely 'Hotlisted' by women, which is fine since they're always bombarded with messages on Adult FriendFinder since they're so completely outnumbered. However, I was 'Hotlisted' five times yesterday, all by women much younger and supposedly living nearby. When you view their profiles, some things don't add up (one is petite but 6'2" tall lol!)and some others have very little info. I'm guessing this is the latest scam to get men to visit their cam sites or whatever. Nothing has happened yet, but let's just same I'm very skeptical. Very.

So what's up with the Recnt New Member Photo Gallery? May 22, 2010 11:52 am

I was reading one today that pictured a cute young blond girl with the caption said 'African American...", and I've seen others that show a slim woman while the caption reads "I'm a BBW, 220 lbs.". What is Adult FriendFinder trying to do?

Will the snow ever stop? Feb 10, 2010 11:25 am

Okay, we got about 18" last Saturday but the current storm promises to bring us 2 feet or more! This is just ridiculous. Everything is shut down and the plows aren't even on the roads because there is a virtual 'white out' so it's dangerous for everyone. I have a fairly short driveway at our new house, so it's not too bad to clear off (especially with our neighbor's snow blower), but it appears everything will be closed again tomorrow. What a mess!

So, what's a horny guy to do all day, stuck inside?

So first we had the cammers on Adult FriendFinder who would try to entice others to visit... Jul 9, 2009 4:31 pm

...her on another site that requires you to pay, now I keep getting new 'Testimonials' from women, make that girls, who are half my age or younger that are a straight up solicitation to visit you elsewhere. I think there have been at least a dozen in the last couple weeks, so I just keep banning them. Today is was 'Hi I'm young and into school.

Do enough lonely men actually fall for this stuff that it's worth their effort? I find that hard to believe. There's so much free porn on the internet that nobody needs to pay for it.

Just my rant for the day. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

So, I guess it's more marketing deception. Jul 11, 2008 12:35 pm

I was lured to a similar site and joined as a 'Standard' member. It has many similarities to Adult FriendFinder, including winks and hotlists, so perhaps it's owned by them (I'll figure it out later). No sooner did I join that I was starting to get winks and even messages from alleged member women. Of course, in order to reply to them I would need to pay for a Silver or Gold membership, even though it suggest that a wink to a paid member would prompt them to give me their e-mail address or IM info, since they would see I was only a Standard member.

Well, I winked back to one local Gold member, but got nothing buy a wink back. Being the sharp guy I am, I'm figuring they (the site people) do this to lure you into joining, at which point the alleged member is no longer around.

I know they put phony pictures on Adult FriendFinder, well, they're real pictures but they don't live near me (it tells you that in fine print), but I was wondering if anyone else experienced what I described above?

It's not the heat that gets to me....it's the stupidity! Jun 10, 2008 7:46 am

So I was driving out in the sticks with my AC on full blast as my car thermometer told me it was about 99 degrees outside, and I believed it. So what do I see? A bunch of bike riders with nice road bikes and helmets. Are these people out of their minds? I was still sweating from getting in and out of my car while running errands, and these wackos are out riding bikes. I ride too, but not in this heat. It's just not worth it. I won't golf in it either. It just takes all the fun out of it.

I had no idea the men to women ratio was this bad! May 7, 2008 7:19 am

I was on IM a little while ago and was dismayed to find only 5 women within a 50 mile radius, and only 15 within 100 miles. Just for the sake of argument I checked to see how many men were on and found 57 in the 50 mile radius and 200 in a 100 mile radius!

No wonder it's so darned difficult to find a woman to chat with here. I almost jump out of my chair when someone finally responds to me, but I try not to get discouraged when it seemingly takes an eternity to get a response.

So ladies, is there anything particular you look for when you're on IM? I try to be friendly and not start out with something like 'nice ass', just a simple 'hello' or whatever. Perhaps I should be bolder?

So what's up iwth this 'Flirt' feature? May 7, 2008 5:27 am

In the past month or so I've received several smiles, waves, or kisses from some very attractive ladies, which is quite flattering since I rarely get any unsolicited messages from women on Adult FriendFinder. I check out their profiles and send them a message, and if I like what I see I include a face picture, then never hear back. No, I'm not a dog, so I don't think the picture has anything to do with it. Even if it does, some sort of reciprocity of acknowledgment would be nice, and a courteous gesture since they're the ones who initiated contact.

I've had a fair number of messages remain unanswered, but I don't give it much thought knowing that women are usually flooded with messages here, but when it's a woman who takes the initiative, then lets the ball drop, it really gets under my skin. I don't let it ruin my day, but I guess I needed to get this off my chest.

Why are so many women Standard members? May 5, 2008 12:33 pm

I know it's free, but you're so limited in what you can do that it hardly seems worth the trouble. I stated as a Standard but quickly realized it was almost worthless, so I spent the money to upgrade to Silver, and it changed my view of Adult FriendFinder nearly overnight.

I realize some women would be uncomfortable have that charge show up on their credit card, but there's an option to send a money order, so you can do this anonymously, and it's pretty reasonable too.

Just wondering.

Do men greatly outnumber women on Adult FriendFinder? May 5, 2008 7:27 am

I think they do, or perhaps we're simply more aggressive than women? All I know is, I have a tough time getting things started, and when I finally make contact, I hear the same thing each time; 'I'm overwhelmed with messages' and so forth. Even making contact with the IM feature here can be difficult, but I try to keep positive and remain focused, but it can certainly be frustrating.

I love watching couples on cam, but... May 3, 2008 12:32 pm

...sometimes I'll view 10 or more and all I'll see is guys by themselves rubbing one out. That's not what I want to see on the couples' cams, and it kind of drives me crazy. I'm sure some of the ladies don't mind, but I want to see hot sex with a lady present. I guess I'll have to keep wading through the b.s. to get to the rainbow.

Cam shows - great to watch but too many frauds. Apr 27, 2008 6:47 am

I guess 'frauds' isn't the right word. I'm talking about the recent plethora of young, very attractive women who put on some great shows, but they typically end with a banner ad stating 'I can't IM here' or 'Want to see more?', and then an advertisement for a commercial website that will charge you to see them and/or chat with them.

I know this is against Adult FriendFinder rules, as they should be, but they're popping up in bunches, and when one disappears, another takes its place. I can't say I don't like watching those gorgeous bodies, but I get irritated when the ad comes up and would rather see someone 'real', if that makes sense.

Your thoughts?

Why can't people be honest in their profiles? Apr 22, 2008 6:05 am
571 Views
I've met with more than a few women in my 1+ years on Adult FriendFinder, and I can tell you that a few were being a bit misleading with certain information or descriptions , primarily physical characteristics. I understand that everyone wants to feel good about themselves, but be honest with yourself before posting your profile.

I was checking one out a little while ago, and you could say she has a very big ego and high opinion of herself. She lives quite a distance from me, but I was attracted to her picture. In her profile she caims to be 'Ivy League educated', among other things, yet can't seem to spell very well, with numerous typos along with other blatant gaffes such as the words 'smok'en, 'co-ed'(should be coed), 'he is wore out' instead of worn out, and the typical 'your' instead of you are or you're.

Sorry honey, but if you're 'Ivy League educated', you should know how to spell and use proper English. Perhaps her whole profile is a lie?

I'm not a snob even though you might think that from reading this post. All I'm saying is that you should be honest. I'm not turned off by misspelling, I'm turned off by someone claiming to be someone they're not.
