And the winner is . . .

So here we are trying to find each other on yet another dating web site. Do we have anything in common? Is that really what he/she looks like? I wonder if that is really true? Okay, so we seem similar in those areas but can we even connect in bed? Then we take a chance and contact the other name on the site. Because that's all we really are to each other so far, just names on a site. Then the fun part starts. Or so it would seem. The initial emails, the screening to see if you really want to get to know this person any better. Let's not forget the emails that are forever bogging down your own inbox on a daily basis. You know the ones I am referring to. The constant offers for one night stands or even better, no stand at all, just an obligatory crotch shot of a prospective "interest".

Tell me, should I just cover my eyes and reach into my inbox blindfolded in hopes of pulling out one good decent chance out of 50 that might be worth talking to? Is it like pin the tail on the donkey? Maybe I have been going about this entirely in the wrong way. Thinking far too much. Actually trying to find an "Adult Friend". Imagine my surprise . . .

angel Maybe you have been going about it "all wrong" but probably not. Don't play "grab bag" Check out some of the blogs of the older women and bounce this of them. It is something that takes time and a few risks (minimize that as much as you can) are inherent in the process. usually sevral meetings are in order before you drop your panties, so be patient. You have to honor yourself in the process and the respect will come and the good sex. Good luck in your quest and I applaud your courage in speaking your truth.

It could be worse...you could be receiving e-mails from people you pretend to be interested, but are only getting you to go to their website and use a AVS usename and password to check out their pictures. They say they put them there for "security", but in actuality, they get a payment for each person they get to sign up for the AVS service... I guess we all have to work for a living...

The jerks on this site can make the experience very unpleasant for some of us - that's unfortunate.

Dating sites are just another way of meeting people, but they not-so-gently remind us that some people are simply not equipped for real human interaction in a positive or meaningful way. People are desperate, rude, pushy, stupid, and ignorant, and believe the anonymity of the internet legitimizes their behavior. But just like in the real world, occasionally you'll see through all that and find a real gem worth holding onto. It's all a numbers game, and right now with a ratio of about 15 men to 1 woman, you're bound to run into more than your fair share of idiots. I've met a lot of really nice people here, so it's still possible to find a good one who will realize that an unsolicited picture of a penis does very little to endear himself.

All I've found is fake women and fake scans. Either it isn't really the hottie in the picture, or it isn't even a girl
