Sweden is a country waaaaay up in the north. During the winters, we all live in igloos, hunt polar bears, drink Absolut Vodka and have wild sex every day... If we didn't we would of course freeze to death. Thereby SEX is necessary for our survival, not only to multiply, but to stay warm!
Sometimes when we get bored, we pack ourselves and our families into our Viking longboats and sail around plundering our neighboring countries, such as Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
During the summer, Sweden turns into a land of debauchery, sin and lust. People wear as little clothes as possible, to celebrate the sun.
The water is extremely clean, and if the city has a beach or a river running trough it, you can see beautiful girls skinny dipping all over the place. After the cooling dip, they all stroll nude to the nearest cafee for a "fika" (a Swedish word for coffee-break.)
Nude people can in fact be seen everywhere: in schools and offices, in stores and malls, in coffee shops and walking the streets.
People having sex in parks, on the beaches or on benches around the cities is a very common sight.
Swedish men are all of course muscular, masculine Viking Gods, and ALL Swedish women are tall, blond, blue eyed, world wide known as the best and most beautiful women anywhere!
Since Sweden is a welfare country, we don't have to work, unless we feel like it. Mean, money grabbing people have been outlawed.
We are so very well known around the world, simply because we DO know what we are doing, due to all our diligent practice.

They are some of the most mulish, not to be moved, stubborn people in the world!
They very seldom tell you exactly what they are thinking, and are non confrontational to a fault.
They DO have a temper, surprise! Sure it will take some time before it surfaces, but once it does, RUN and RUN FAST!!!
Of course everybody DOES know that Swedish women are not only some of the most liberated, but also the most independent and have achieved almost total equality (48% ratio in the parliament). In other words, they won't put up with any CRAP, and neither will I!

The Hunt for The Holy Grail
Announcing the very first oh-so-special 'Hunt for the Holy Grail' Scavenger Hunt.
Don't miss the opportunity to have your blog included in this very interactive and fun meet and greet game. Actually, I can't believe that I'm up to 80 posts, seems like yesterday that I did my 50th! Let's celebrate the 80's!

The Nurse checking the vitals asks:

She steps up on the scale and the Nurse notates 180 lbs.....

Halloween, or Hallowe'en, is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-o-lanterns. The term Halloween (and its alternative rendering Hallowe'en) is shortened from All-hallow-even, as it is the eve of "All Hallows' Day",[1] also which is now known as All Saints' Day. Some modern Halloween traditions developed out of older pagan traditions, especially surrounding the Irish holiday Samhain, a day associated both with the harvest and otherworldly spirits. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is now celebrated in several parts of the Western world, most commonly in Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom and occasionally in parts of Australia and New Zealand.
Many European cultural traditions, in particular Celtic cultures, hold that Halloween is one of the liminal times of the year when spirits can make contact with the physical world, and when magic is most potent (according to, for example, Catalan mythology about witches and Scottish and Irish tales of the Sídhe).

The Story of Halloween
Halloween is one of the oldest holidays with origins going back thousands of years. The holiday we know as Halloween has had many influences from many cultures over the centuries. From the Roman's Pomona Day, to the Celtic festival of Samhain, to the Christian holidays of All Saints and All Souls Days.
Hundreds of years ago in what is now Great Britain and Northern France, lived the Celts. The Celts worshipped nature and had many gods, with the sun god as their favorite. It was "he" who commanded their work and their rest times, and who made the earth beautiful and the crops grow.
The Celts celebrated their New Year on November 1st. It was celebrated every year with a festival and marked the end of the "season of the sun" and the beginning of "the season of darkness and cold."
On October 31st after the crops were all harvested and stored for the long winter the cooking fires in the homes would be extinguished. The Druids, the Celtic priests, would meet in the hilltop in the dark oak forest (oak trees were considered sacred). The Druids would light new fires and offer sacrifices of crops and animals. As they danced around the the fires, the season of the sun passed and the season of darkness would begin.
When the morning arrived the Druids would give an ember from their fires to each family who would then take them home to start new cooking fires. These fires would keep the homes warm and free from evil spirits.
The November 1st festival was called Samhain (pronounced "sow-en"). The festival would last for 3 days. Many people would parade in costumes made from the skins and heads of their animals. This festival would become the first Halloween.
During the first century the Romans invaded Britain. They brought with them many of their festivals and customs. One of these was the festival know as Pomona Day, named for their goddess of fruits and gardens. It was also celebrated around the 1st of November. After hundreds of years of Roman rule the customs of the Celtic's Samhain festival and the Roman Pomona Day mixed becoming 1 major fall holiday.
The next influence came with the spread of the new Christian religion throughout Europe and Britain. In the year 835 AD the Roman Catholic Church would make November 1st a church holiday to honor all the saints. This day was called All Saint's Day, or Hallowmas, or All Hallows. Years later the Church would make November 2nd a holy day. It was called All Souls Day and was to honor the dead. It was celebrated with big bonfires, parades, and people dressing up as saints, angels and devils.
But the spread of Christianity did not make people forget their early customs. On the eve of All Hallows, Oct. 31, people continued to celebrate the festivals of Samhain and Pomona Day. Over the years the customs from all these holidays mixed. October 31st became known as All Hallow Even, eventually All Hallow's Eve, Hallowe'en, and then - Halloween.
The Halloween we celebrate today includes all of these influences, Pomona Day's apples, nuts, and harvest, the Festival of Samhain's black cats, magic, evil spirits and death, and the ghosts, skeletons and skulls from All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day.

The Halloween season of OCT-31 to NOV-2 each year is unique. It includes:
A Neopagan Sabbat:
Samhain, usually celebrated on or near the evening of OCT-31. It was originally a celebration of the final harvest of the growing season among the ancient Celts. It was also their new year celebration. Today, it is mainly celebrated by Wiccans and other Neo-Pagans
Three Christian holy days:
All Saints' Day (a.k.a. All Hallows' Day) on NOV-1. The holiday was first celebrated on 609-MAY-13 CE when Pope Boniface IV dedicated the Pantheon in Rome to the Virgin Mary. The date was later changed to NOV-1 by Pope Gregory III who dedicated a chapel in honor of All Saints in the Vatican Basilica. Pope Gregory IV (827-844) later extended the feast to the whole church. The Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate All Saints Day in the springtime -- the Sunday after Pentecost.
All Souls' Day (a.k.a. the Day of the Dead) which is normally celebrated on NOV-2. When NOV-2 is a Sunday, as it was for the year 2003, the celebration is held on the following Monday. This is a day for prayer and almsgiving in memory of ancestors who have died. Believers pray for the souls of the dead, in an effort to hasten their transition from Purgatory to Heaven. It is primarily celebrated by Roman Catholics. The day is believed to have been selected by "St. Odilo, the fifth abbot of Cluny...France because he wanted to follow the example of Cluny in offering special prayers and singing the Office of the Dead on the day following the feast of All Saints."
Some Protestants celebrate Reformation Day. This is the anniversary of 1517-OCT-31 CE, the day that Martin Luther's published his 95 theses. These were criticisms of beliefs and practices of the Roman Catholic church, particularly related to the sale of indulgences. He is widely believed to have published them in a dramatic manner, by nailing them to the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. Actually, that never happened. He did write a letter to his superiors attacking the sale of indulgences; the 95 theses were merely appended to the letter. This triggered for the Protestant Reformation, leading to a decades-long war in Europe, enmity between Catholics and Protestants, and the fracture of Christianity into thousands of individual faith groups.
A secular celebration, Halloween on the evening of OCT-31. In some areas, if OCT-31 falls on a Sunday, Halloween is celebrated on the evening of OCT-30. Stores love Halloween. It is the festival when the largest amount of candy is sold. It is second only to Christmas in total commercial sales. The total sale of costumes, candy and other Halloween material reached almost $7 billion in 2003. 2
There is probably more misinformation circulated about these festivals than about any other yearly celebration.

As I was posting my other post,  I was "starving"..... Yeah I know what some of you PERVS are thinking, but I get plenty of SEX, okay! Anyhow, as I was posting and thinking about what to eat....
