Personal Poetry

I'm not really a poetry person, as far as writing it, other than haiku. I do like to read it. But sometimes, it's cleansing. That's what this is, just some cleaning house. No need to comment, this was really just for me.

Don’t look at me,
please turn your head.
You won’t see the smiles I’ve smiled
or the tears I’ve shed.

You may be somewhere watching,
you may read the words I write.
You’re close enough to see the same sun,
the same stars above at night.

Even though you are so close,
you’re still so far away.
Your heart left mine alone
without a single word to say.

I know that I begged,
and then lashed out in anger.
But those feelings will subside
until you’re nothing more than a stranger.

So I’ll take back my passion,
my laughter, my dreams and my heart.
And maybe next time,
I won’t give them right from the start.

This is my way of saying good bye,
of letting go, moving on and collecting my things.
My way of facing every new person and day
with all the joy they can bring.

SunneyOne, that is beautiful and painful at the same time. Sorry someone made you feel that way, but glad you can express it. Just getting things out of your head, and onto paper {or blog} can help.

Peace, SunneyOne !!! Cabo !!!

I have found that social philosophers like us, think alike...I release sometimes in the same manner. Sending happy thoughts, good vibes and NO boy band music...
