Even Still

In the infamous words of
Joe Dirt; "Life's a garden - DIG IT!"
SIZE]

When I was in the 8th grade I got my ass thoroughly beaten by a kid I had insulted during wood shop. I had no idea I had offended him, until later that day, walking home through the park when he blindsided me. He was able to blindside me because as a toddler, my left eyeball was removed by a neighbor’s dog. Witnesses claimed I’d insulted the dog.

There is a pattern here. Since my earliest days, my wit, sarcasm, imagination, intelligence, (or lack of same) allied with my operatic ignorance of the laws governing actions and consequences, have coalesced to form the perfect dumb-ass.

This might be why, in my entire life, I have never even come close to predicting or controlling the outcome of any relationship, confrontation, job, plan, or dream. The list could go on, but you get the point.

And even still, it’s been a great ride.

Yes Sir, the world is full of clods, bullies and the witless. I am capable of being any of them myself, on any give day depending upon my mood, diet, stress level, spiritual state of mind and how many dipshits, phucktards and criminally stupid people I encounter as I stumble down my path to happy destiny.

I shouldn't laugh, but I did when I read "witnesses claimed I'd insulted the dog".

I know what you mean, man, I know what you mean. It's amazing how you can be minding your own business and some bully comes along who just doesn't like how you "look".

The clods of this world don't get any better when they grow up, either. Some (and only some) become a bit more proficient in their language skills. That's about it.

Good post!
