One week to live - new perspective on an old question

Many times, after a death people ask the question, what would you do if you had one day, two weeks, a month, etc to live?

We also see reflections on make sure you patch things up with relatives and friends and not let them go too long because you never know when you will run out of time and no longer be able to fix things since they could go at any time.

So I was thinking that both of these tend to be from the "me" perspective. So what about flipping it around and think outward. Maybe there are other questions to ask. What are you going to do each and every day to the people you encounter? How are you going to make what might be their last day on earth better? Are you going to look for opportunities to do nice things for others? Sometimes it's the simplest things that mean the world.

I think I'm going to try to keep this perspective in mind.

The smallest gesture can mean the world to someone. A smile, a nod, recognition is some way.

What we take for granted may be someone elses life force. You never know.

This is easier said than done. If you can keep up this new outlook, the God bless you. My husband thought this way after an almost near death experience and it did fade. On the other hand, one person does truely make a difference. I hope that you can look at life like this everyday. You have a big heart and I luv ya for that.

Ladies, I really try to bring a smile to people's faces. I hope that it is infectious. Like the clerk in a store that just seems miserable and overwhelmed dealing with bitchy customers all day. Taking the time to recognise they are a person is all that is needed sometimes to illicit a smile. It feels great.
We can't be up all the time but it's nice to spread it around when we are.
