please allow me to introduce myself....

i am an instrument of pleasure and pain...

my name is Christine... i'm Sorceror07's main guitar, i'm a totally tricked out Gibson Les Paul Custom Gothic, i'm one of a kind... he's invested a lot of time, effort, energy, money, blood, sweat and tears in me and he plays with me all the time... lately though, he's been distracted so i thought i'd jump on his computer while he wasn't looking and cause some mischief... as is my nature!

the Sorceror names his guitars after women he has loved... and lost. The woman he named me after was up to recently, his greatest lost love... he met her while in college, she was beautiful, dark... exotic... asian... she looked like tia carrerra... huge brown eyes that could melt any man's heart and soul, she was a free spirit, elfin, beautific. and she wanted him then, but he was with someone else so they became friends. the someone else he was with he also named a guitar after, that one left him for someone else... but that is another story.

the Sorceror and the lady Christine were friends for a long time, but they never got together... she didn't want to "ruin the friendship" ...too much time had passed in that state, inertia, the status quo. there was no hope for him. she knew his anguish, but didn't want him in that way anymore, he'd waited too long, he didn't drop his other girlfriend who he loved for her at the time that he could have been with her. it was not her fault, her feelings merely changed. she eventually faded out of his life, forever.

...that is also when he lost his heart, his direction, his soul... and stopped playing music on all but a sporadic basis... he was spiritually broken, he buried himself in his work and became an angry young man. he was 23 then. 20 years ago... half a lifetime ago... it took him a long time to find himself again, a long painful struggle full of turmoil, wreckage, damage... now he is whole, the cost was excessive though he feels it was worth it for he can stand as a man having been through it. there's much much more to the story of the years from 23 to 43, but i'm only concerned with the 3 years he was associated with the lady Christine, who he named me for, who he wrote songs for, who he wrote poetry for, who he loved and never possessed.

a man is defined, shaped, sculpted by the pain he's gone through... oh the suffering, the sweet sweet suffering! and the pleasure is equally as sweet for you cannot fully appreciate the one without the other. physical pain is nothing in comparison, it is a mere echo of inner anguish.... that is real pain, and can be much more prolonged.

my name is Christine, and i am a guitar, ...a very special guitar to the Sorceror, for i am the channel for his creativity and his pain, i am the channel for his sensitivity and his recklessness, i am the channel for his music and his muse. i release him from the bondage of his mortal coil while he plays me and allows him to "be". i bring him peace as he releases all his anguish, frustration and pain through me. through me he as come full circle and is now whole.

Christine ...you are a naughty girl! just for that i'm going to play with Darlene tomorrow instead of you... and no, i'm going to polish her instead too, and perhaps even change her strings while i'm at it.

Dear Christine ~

Don't let Sorceror fool you ... You KNOW he'll come around. (He's too persnickety NOT to take care of you in a timely fashion.)

Oh by the way, I'm no longer afraid of you. It's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintence, Beautiful Lady. *bows head*

*besos*
Safira
