Tuesday, and...................

Well, what do you want this early in the morning, poetry? It is gonna be a rainy day in the neighborhood again today. We have had a fair amount of rain in the last 24 hours but not as bad as up north of here a ways. Man, some of that flooding in and around DC is nasty looking. Here, it is making the grass grow and possibly overflowing a few small streams but we do not have any major waterways near my town. Big reason we have the lakes to hold water to drink.
I am gonna head out for some breakfast in a bit, and then back here for some school stuff and get ready to head out to work. Gosh, this pace is tough! LOL Well, fall term will fix that. Instead of teaching 2 courses, I will be teaching 6 in the fall. That will keep me really busy.
So, besides trying to stay dry today, it is already 72 degrees so it is gonna be warm and muggy so staying cool will be required. But, right now, I have the windows open and if the wife were here, the AC would already be on. See, it is already better that she is gone. Saving energy by using the cooler air from outside.
One of my buddies that I sometimes have supper with on the weekends has applied for a job with our school. I think he will be a great instructor and he has his hire/no-hire interview with the president of the college today. I sure hope he makes a good impression. We are in the construction education business of sorts and this guy has almost 20 years of experience as an electrician. We had two guys retire in the last year so my department is pretty thin when it comes to people to teach courses. One bad thing about working for the state is the wages. If you want to get rich, you need to do something else. But, it is rewarding and I have never had a job that is this good for what is required of me. I really enjoy teaching and helping people reach their goals. Makes my life mean more somehow.
It is now just after 8pm so I am going to sign this post off for today. I went out to a fine supper with a buddy, the one who wants to go to work at the school. We had steak and talked about his interview today with the higher-ups in administration. He thinks things went well, but you never really know with these people, they are hard to read. So, we will wait to see if he gets an offer to come to work. I hope so because he is perfect for out kind of programs and will do very well in the role.
Ok, time to sign, nite, nite, peeps, and sleep well. Save some energy when you can.

Boosting others confidence is the greatest thing. Brings a smile to my face too.
