Sunday and a calm day ahead!

It is 36 degrees here in the triad at 6:30am and I am up and at em. It seems that the rain event we were supposed to get is here but no freezing stuff at these temps. May just dodge a bullet here. I hope so, cause you know my feelings on this topic. I will find out for sure as soon as it gets lighter outside. Man, I tried to sleep in more this morning but I was awake every little bit from about 4:30 this morning on. You know what causes that? It is getting used to the time when we are on daylight saving. This would be 7:30 and if you are awake at 5am on regular time, it is because it is 6am on saving time. Is it any wonder we are all messed up most of the time? Now, the government in its infinite wisdom, is proposing that we have more time in the daylight saving mode. Well, that is a really bad idea. The first reason is that there is a great deal of stuff tied to the normal change points we have used for years. Not the least of which is the auto change over things like, computers, VCRs, etc. All of that would have to be changed to match the new terminus points. Wow, Y2K all over again. I certainly hope a more sensible approach is formulated to meet our needs.
Ok, it is after 3pm and the temp is up near 50 degrees and the sun has been out all day! Nice, in the triad instead of the wintry mix we were forecast to get. I am so glad, you know?
I have to get out for some supper later this afternoon. I skipped lunch, just was not all that hungry. I am thinking of going to K&W again this evening, they really are a value and the food is just super. Thinking of making a salad from several parts of what is on the food bar tonight. They often have chicken strips and I like those atop a bed of lettuce and cucumber, tomato, etc with a little thousand island or ranch dressing. mmmmmmmmmmm makes my mouth water.
So, maybe one more update this evening but there is really not much to say, just one of those days that we all have the seem to be endless but somehow just fade into the past. This time next weekend, Christmas will be almost over and we will be off and running towards New Year's.
