Hump day and the downhill slide!

Ok, it is 25 degrees here in the triad at 6:15am and things are looking up as I prepare for the end of my current term. Final exams start today and continue through Friday. We are having a little office Christmas party today at noon so that should be fun.
I just checked the radar and there is some nasty looking blue stuff out to the west of here. Forecast is calling for possibly some freezing rain tonight and into tomorrow morning. Damn, I hate cold weather! I need to retire to the warmer climates I suppose but then I would probably get blown away in a hurricane or something. I suppose I will just hang around here. Of course being in the education business it kinda cool, when the weather gets icy, I get to stay home. Not a bad job, huh? LOL
Nearly noon now, not snowing here yet but there is some in the area. Also, noticed the ever increasing price of gasoline in my area. All the stations are back over $2/gal again and it is our fault. We can make this situation better or we can just accept the fact but I am for keeping the price down. How about a little help? We have only us to blame if we do nothing. I got a reply from the gas supplier here in NC to the email I sent them and it was as I expected it to be. Essentially it said, "we are not at fault for the increases and we do not profit from them". Well, yeah, sure and I believe in the Easter Bunny too!
Well, not a major development, but when I got back to the house this afternoon some minor things have changed. I moved a small nightstand away from my bed that belongs to the wife. I put it over by the door into my room. There had been a cedar chest in my room that belongs to the wife that she got from her grandparents when they died. That along with the nightstand were both gone from my room and I suppose moved into the room of one of the girls. I do not know, have not been able to look around and see. Both the daughter that lives here and the wife are here and do not take well to my looking at stuff. LOL Silly I know but that is the situation that I live with. Maybe this means there is some movement that may take place soon, one can only hope! More later!
Ok, it's later and I found where the cedar chest went to. It is in the dining room in behind the table with a lot of other junk from one of the daughters. I do not know exactly yet where the nightstand went but it may have gone to a yard sale or pawn shop, after all it was a Christmas present from me last year. Not exactly a family heirloom as is the case with the cedar chest. Also, I noticed that a lot of "her" stuff has been removed from a bookcase that is my family heirloom. I asked her to clean her stuff out of there a month ago but she said then, that she would not unless she was ready. I presume that time has come. Well, it is not exactly a forwarding address but it is some kind of change indicating that there is some thought going into the time when we have to go our separate ways. No word from my lawyer yet so there is no real news, just little signs of the change that has to come. Well, we are supposed to get some freezing rain tonight with some ice build-up over night, I just hope it is not real bad, we do not need that yet. Here is hoping it passes us by. For now, just have a good one and tune in for the continuing adventures of a guy that has nothing better to do than write about ordinary crap that happens in his life. Nite, nite! Peeps!
