The Perfect Man...

I'm Curious...What defines the perfect Man?
I was thinking of all the players that a lot of women fall for, the puppydog kind of guys that they praise, but NEVEr seem to fall for...LOL. What is the qualities that most women look for in the guy they want to spend the rest of their life with...or simply bone the hell out of...LOL.
No cheating and saying me...LOL.

I am looking for a man that is understanding, compassionate, willing to compromise, will discuss matters to reach a mutual agreement, values the woman he is with and protects, guides, and loves her unconditionally. Friendship is FIRST AND FOREMOST....Its imperative that I feel secure and safe. A man will to work WITH me to build a FIRM foundation in a relationship...friendship is a must...anything else that follows will be in its proper place.

A man who will communicate, be affectionate, understanding, even tempered, and one who loves his mother.

If you don't love and respect your mom? You surely wont love any other woman. Guaranteed!

Why would it be cheating to say you - my dear friend? There are a 'few' of us that would (and do) consider you to be the perfect man--If you are 1/2 the man that I think you are from your writing-the way you pour out your soul-and touch others-and make us think-want and desire to be the person you are talking about (and talking too !)--and what is wrong with just wanting to bone the hell out of someone ?????? *WINK*

Hey sizzle, if I had an answer I would not be cruising profiles on AdultFriendFinder but then I would not be blogging so it balances out. I have asked myself that question for many years and struggled to understand why girls wanted to date guys who treated them like crap while I sat back and waited. I am a sensitive guy who treats people with respect and honesty but just dont know. I guess cuddling and slow kissing dont cut it when your younger but women do seem to mellow with age. They get out of the "bad boy" phase and occasionally take a chance on a real guy. If you answer this you have solved one of the riddles of the ages

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey! No you're not! /I'M/ Curious! LOL

But seriously, the perfect mate for each person is gonna be somewhat different for everyone as each person is different in personality and temperment and they need to find thier other half to balance and become whole. I can tell you what the perfect (or at least ideal cause perfect could be annoying in the long haul) man for me. But that's gonna probably vary from what others say.

For me the Perfect man would be attuned to my moods and honor and respect my thoughts, feelings, and dreams. He would be willing to debate issues with me but not pig headedly argue, there is a difference. In debating you are seeing all sides of an issue where as arguing you are just to stubborn to admit that there might be any other viewpoint than your own. He must be open minded to other cultures and religions. He must take pride in his appearance but never be arrogant about it. He must be intelligent. This doesn't mean he has to have an Ivy League education just that he has a curious mind to seek out knowledge instead of shunning new ideas. He must be brave and protective but not an overbearing rooster head that pops off at the smallest provocation. A real man knows how to pick his battles. He must be kind to animals. If a person cannot be kind to a creature that offers nothing but companionship or does not wish you ill in any way he will not be kind to his fellow man (or woman for that matter). My dog has to like him cause if she doesn't then there's something there that she senses about him that isn't right. Dogs are very smart that way. He has to be willing to trust me and not worry about cheating. If I wanted to be with anyone else I wouldn't be with him. I'd end it first then seek out someone else. He must allow me to have my alone time and not be offended that I don't want him (or anyone else) around sometimes. he must respect that sometimes he can't 'fix' whatever it is that makes me cry and that I won't always want to talk about it. Sometimes a girl just needs a good, cleansing cry and sometimes we don't even know why we're crying (hormones, damn things. Grrrr) he must contribute to the financial side of the relationship. I don't ever want to be the one working and being the sole supporter in a relationship ever again. It's a two way street and he needs to uphold his half to the money responsibilities. I'm not lookin for a sugar daddy and he shouldn't be lookin for a sugar momma. He must respect my need to work so that I feel that I am contributing. He must not make fun of me for reading my horoscope or having belief in some of the old wives tales. After all they all carry a grain of truth in them. He must not make fun of me for believing in psychics, alternative medicines, or the possibility of the realm of the unknown being true. he must not think I'm evil for the above either. He must respect children and see them as the gems that they are. Even a diamond starts out rough. It's how you polish it and sculpt it that decides how beautiful it will become and how valuable.

Oh I could go on and on and on here but I'll stop now. I'm sure the ladies (and gents here) each have thier own list as well. It's so individual to each person that you just know when you click that it's right. There isn't one answer that will fit every person or every situation.

Smart, fun-loving, definitely. But communicative, too. If we can't share a conversation, I'm not going to enjoy sharing my most intimate conversation. Caring - you care for me, and I'll care for you. Strong hands, gentle heart. You needn't have a perfect body, but an aluring smile on your lips, and in your eyes, you can wear in good stead with me. mmmmm

what a question..to spend the rest of my life with: someone that makes me melt when he looks into my eyes, someone I can talk to for hours about important things and stupid things and argue with, someone who can KISS, someone who is not too sensitive (I like a manly man), someone who can make me laugh, someone who likes my wit and sarcasm...(can't tell you everything)someone who loves me and that I love..

to bone the hell out of: someone that makes me melt when he looks in my eyes, someone who can KISS, someone capable of holding a conversation, nice looking, CHEMISTRY

Gentlemanly Perv: the man who would NEVER treat you like a slut in public, but adores you for your playful spirit while you're in the bedroom

(a man with manners--while opening doors, extending an arm to hang on to, or politely obliging you your 26 orgasms BEFORE he would even venture to climax himself--and he really doesn't look at you that oddly when he's lugging in your sextoy bag to your afternoon getaway hotel...he just smiles)

Sizzle, This was a great post as you got lots of us talking. I do hate it and your right, once they realize you were for real they do tend to wax nostalgic. I think part of the problem is they paint with a wide brush when they think of "MEN". Keep up the good work

Every man is so different and sometimes it is not a particular trait that attracts one to another....sometimes I think it is more than just a sense of humor or kindness or good looks. There is something mysterious that radiates from inside out that is truly what i am looking for.

Thanks Dano, I'll try...

Yagotta... I think it would depend on your perspective. As I said earlier. It is not a matter of a person being perfect, its a matter of them being perfect for you...and that means accepting their flaws and the strengths that the two people have, complimenting each other and building from there.

Boo~ Compromise is no longer a word in the vocabulary...Compromise is like giving in to something you are against to make someone else happy and sacrificing your own happiness....the NEW WORD OF THE DAY IS....cultivating....if you both are cultivating together...you both are nurturing the relationship and obtaining a better understanding of each other....Where did you hear COMPROMISE....I believe YOU are the one that says it often....LOL...remember the organizational project....Mwah!

"A body like Arnold with a Denzel face"

<blinks innocently and whistles looking at the ceiling.>
