Arghhhh...

I wanted to post...
I should have posted...
I ...cannot post
*sighs*
My head has been splitting since early yesterday....nothing helps that I have in the house....*sighs*
I shall sleep perhaps that may help...
*crosses fingers*
...I shall return...
*wanders off slowly holding head in hands*
*smiles weakly*

Have any idea what may have caused it?
Muscle tension? Fumes? Diet Sodas?

Only thing that works for me when I get like that is some extra strength advil, a quiet room and a lay down. Hope you feel better soon .

I always take some advil, make my room really dark, and put my head under a pillow. I hope that you feel better soon.

I'm sorry, Shy. Perhaps a morphine drip? A seven percent solution, maybe? I don't mean to make lite of your headache, Shy. I know that if you're not Blogging, it's serious. I think your self prescribed sleep is probably your best answer. You have been burning your candle rather brightly lately and at both ends, I might add. Some sleep will probably do you good, I think.

Rest well. We will all be here when you awaken. Shine.

Shy...I sympathize. I have been a sufferer since the early 90's. I cannot pinpoint the date, but didn't receive relief until Imitrex arrived and I believe that was around late 1994. That's when I wanted to have the nurse's baby after a severe migraine episode landed me in the equivalent of emergency care at a clinic and they injected me with it.

Of course now it is in pill form. Men are the minority when it comes to migraine sufferers they say, but I've been in the fetal position enough times to know we're out there.

So, sympatico, I >literally< feel your pain. And wish there was something I could offer you to help....

Most migraine sufferers already know the usual things....darkness is number one, silence, but for me, I also have a double whammy...I have tinnitus - ringing of the ears...so I CANNOT have silence or I will go NUTS. I must have white noise (fan usually does it).

Boy....am I a catch or whut?

IT

I have been plagued with headaches for as long as I can remember...and given that I live where I do..it does not help it...when the weather changes with the air pressure it stirs it up...and i tip a few too many coffee mugs I 'm afraid...and failed to have any yesterday...amongst the regular day to day stress things...Thank you for your compassion and understanding of this...*giggles*
Now when a man is offering to have a baby instead a headache...YOU know it is a bad one...*smiles*

I still on rare occassions get those cluster migraines and I see literally stars and go blind then throw up profusely...not fun...dark, quiet moments and a rest usually helps! I feel it coming on on the right side and travelling from back to front then I am gone!!!

Hope you get rid of it...Have you been dehydrated? That can cause headaches as well...
hugs
flo

The reason I asked is because I use to suffer mild migraines. Drugs were just temporarily deadening the pain, but thats only a treatment option. I wanted to find out the real cause. And I found it.

This turned out to be a good topic. I'll do some research and write a blog topic on the causes of headaches.

You've read my blog, so you probably know where I'm going with this.

One thing I can tell you now is headaches are caused by external elements. Ailments are caused by the body not functioning right for some reason. Find out what that element is and you've eliminated your headache.

Since I found out what was causing mine and resolved it the right way, I have been headache-free for about a year now.

caffeine is very dehydrating!! if you are taking in a lot of caffeine, you need even more water than the average person

Wish I'd have been there to gently rub your shoulders and put you to bed. I know the suffering of migraines. No pills work for me. Only a hot shower (which intensifies it) then laying down till it passes.
Hugs
Tom
