yeah, me

I never thought I would ever be doing this, sorting and picking through photos, organizing things to put together the program for my father's funeral service...

I knew they could never live forever, but you really know morality when you see them go. Wanting him to stay when he was in pain would have been just selfish. On one of my many trips to his bedroom to check on him, I asked him if he wanted anything. He whispered (he had lost his voice), yeah: I want to get up and run out of here!

My mother loved the rain, she said it made her really happy when it rained. She must be estatic cause it hasn't stopped raining since my dad died. I'm happy for her. Fortunately, I love the rain too.

Every picture makes me laugh and cry, which is good sometimes, and sometimes it's just too much. That's him with one of his catfish. That one was over 6 lbs. We would go fishing together, but he would have to bait the hook. Worms? Ewwww!!! I liked fishing with him cause we had a lot of time to talk. Me him, and my daughter, or while she was at school just me and him. Not very many people can say they had 10 months of solid quality time, so I am truly blessed. My mother went so fast it hardly seemed real. This was much worse, but better because I had a chance to say goodbye, but...

and to top it all off, I thought I had someone to help me through this - a significant other for a shoulder to cry on. He faded away just before Christmas. So, I bought two more pillows - the others are soaked through...
