Should Be Sleeping.....

Hot flashes, night sweats!!This hormone thing is keeping me up when I should be sleeping, and not sleeping is making me a RIGHTEOUS BITCH FROM HELL!!!!!
Now don't get me wrong, I like waking up in a puddle(snickers) but this is ridiculous!
I have tried different hormone pills, and those herb supplements with soy in them.....nothing seems to work!
The doctor said, "the good news is you could have these symptoms for another 15 years"
Makes me wonder what the bad news was!
If anyone has any suggestions, I am more than open to them, I'm at my wits end!!!

So, this must be where I apologize for my actions and irritability........right?!?

AARRRRRGH!

UPDATE:6-15-06

After talking about this with my NEW gynocologist, I have been symptom free for several days now!
WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!
I am on birth control pills AND the soy supplements, and it seems to be working....
Thanks to all who responded with caring and advice!

I THINK THAT YOUR DR. IS NUTS. YOU'RE NOT OLD ENOUGH TO BE HAVING "TRUE HOT FLASHES". MY GUESS IS THAT IS WHY NONE OF THE MEDS HAVE WORKED. SOUNDS LIKE LACK OF SEX TO ME.

Glad you are not my doc!
How much is too little or too much sex?

Well, I'm sure glad you are not my Dr, sleezy402.........sounds like lack of brains, to me......you obviously have never been close enough to a 30-something woman to know if hot flashes do exist in younger women!
I assure you, they are "true hot flashes", and wish you could experience one, just one,a nd then maybe you could pull your head out of your ass and stop telling us women it's not real!
Told you I was hormonal.....

You tell them Shameless...way to go!
About your flashes, I dated a woman recently who had hot flashes because of sugery to remove her ovaries (hysterectomy) and she took something that controlled them quite well. But then again maybe all of the sex we had kept her on an even keel. LOL Just kidding...maybe!

I'll try to find out what she was taking and get back to you.
Stay cool! OK that's not funny...

Ok, maybe it WAS the sex....lol
She said that what she was taking was doing a pretty good job but that it took her and her doctor a while to find to a good remedy.
She was very evasive and didn't want to tell me what it was.
She just said you should get with your doctor and figure out what works best for you.
She did tell me it was an injection and it was working pretty well.
So, sorry for the vagueness but she IS my EX! But at least we still talk to each other and can carry on a conversation... LOL

My two cents worth about the hormones is to talk to your doc and get it worked out and if your doctor isn't getting it done GET A NEW DOCTOR.
Talk to you soon

There's alot of good books out there about using natural remedies for women's needs. The herbalist to look for is Susan Weed. You can find several of her books with an Amazon search. Also Women's bodies, Women's Wisdom by Christian Northrup MD has alot of good stuff to say about women's health care and even more good stuff in her book The Wisdom of Menopause.

I believe that menopause is a rewiring of the way our bodies work spiritually. We become a pool of fire instead of a stream of life. I have found that working with those spiritual changes calms all my symptoms tremendously. I have hot flashes and such, but they are my signal that I have extra spiritual energy building up and I do something with it that's constructive and the hotflashes lesson in intensity and sometimes even pass. Just some thoughts that I hoped you might find useful.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. It is nice to meet you.

Yup...this juiciness is from me....

Wow, thanks, Shannee 2006, nice to meet you, too, I knew I would get great advice from another woman.... When you said the hot flashes were about spiritual energy building up, is a very interesting aspect, that in my present hormonal state, had never occurred to me!I will get right on trying to find those books/references!!
Thanks again!
