Somebody Already Broke My Heart

Somebody Already Broke My Heart: By Sade

You came along when I needed a saviour
Someone to pull me through somehow
I've been torn apart so many times
I've been hurt so many times before
So I'm counting on you now

Somebody already broke my heart
Somebody already broke my heart

Here I am
So don't leave me stranded
On the end of a line
Hanging on the edge of a lie
I've been torn apart so many times
I've been hurt so many times before
So be careful and be kind

Somebody already broke my heart
If someone has to lose, I don't want to play
Somebody already broke my heart
No, no I can't go there again

You came along when I needed a saviour
Someone to pull me through somehow
I've been torn apart so many times
I've been hurt so many times before
So I'm counting on you now

Somebody already broke my heart
If someone has to lose, I don't want to play
Somebody already broke my heart
No, no I can't go there again

Sade's music is the most sensual / sexual music that I know of. I always thought she was a "studio" singer. That opinion changed as soon as I saw her live. I think she actually sounded better in concert than on her CD's. Sure wish she would tour more.

I think she is a beautiful woman, and a wonderful singer.
I never got to see her live. I bet it was a great experience.

sade's music born of pain. i believe she hurts through her music. it is clear that she's been hurt before and i consider her a kindred spirit. we've all been hurt before. while smoking a joint together a college friend of mine said that sade wants to be fully accepted by whites. her being mulatto has given her some of both worlds but not the best of both worlds. i can imagine in the brutal elitest society of the uk sade was made painfully aware of her heritage regularly.

my children are mixed, and they've had to deal with some racism.
To me racism is hatred period!
This song applies to me and my past. I know the pain of giving yourself to someone and they've broken your heart. I'm afraid at times to go there again myself.
Music is a way I express myself. It is also helpful in dealing with pain.

youre right racism is hatred. one must remember that racists are CRAZY. when you see a crazy person on the street or train you steer clear. one must apply the same for racists. there is just no rational reason to hate someone that you dont know. i have been shown love by all races. this would have been impossible had i been a racist. being a sane and rational person is somewhat of a burden. you have to observe and analyze people, then come to a conclusion. racists are lazy in this area. they tend to judge everyone from a negative experience with one or they are followers and adopt the views of someone they look up to. teach your kids these things for they will encounter this hatred on both ends. most black women hate white women because they feel that they cant compete. your task is a hard one but you being the strong willed person that you are is a plus. i have much love for you because you are NOT a follower.

you got that right! And I have always told my kids not to be a follower, but a Leader as well! And since they are young , I will have to keep reminding them so!
