Don't You Just Love It When...

Don't you just love it when your most favorite band in the whole wide world (who've released only mediocre albums in recent history) come out with an album that really rocks your world?! You know, like the more you listen to it the more you absolutely LOVE it?

Well, I'm here to tell you that my world has been rocked by OPERATION: MINDCRIME II by Queensryche, of course.

All I can say is ... THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you just love it when the guy that ripped your heart out of your chest, stomped it into the ground, and THEN runs it through the paper shredder, comes back to say that he made the "largest" mistake of his life and that he needs you in his life to "make it complete." Direct quotes, people. Direct quotes. Makes me feel quite ... POWERFUL. And enraged.

Don't you just love it when your FAVORITE BAND and your FAVORITE GUY TO HATE come back in the same week so that you can quote the band to say to the guy:

This reminds me of you.

"I'd tell you anything you'd want to hear.
And I'd desert you when I'm through.
I'd say anything because true love don't mean a thing to a man, who's not a man, but a FOOL."

About QR: Thanks for the review. I've been in a disc buying mood as of late, and if MCII is 1/10 of the original, it's worth every cent! (But you already know that! )

About the dude - Squash him like bug! LOL!!!!

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...

Doc... I'm telling you. Give it a listen or two before you really decide but I think it comes alive in a song called "The Chase" featuring Ronnie James Dio as Dr. X! From that point on, I'm ALL in!!! The whole thing makes me want to MOVE! BTW, at Best Buy, its on sale for $11.99 -- I'm sure because its the first week out. They even have O:M on sale for $7.99 so you can get both for $20.00. AND they're going on tour AND they're going to perform both back to back with actors and everything. They're going to be here in Sept. Wanna come? LOL

As for the guy... well, lets just say that I handled myself with grace and class. I thanked him for his words, for the sentiment behind them, and for the reminder that we once had something but let him down gently by informing him that I have nothing left in me to give to him. I even realized that he has nothing to give to my son -- who happens to be his son, too, mind you. But I get it and I forgave him. (Sounds dramatic, doesn't it, for me to forgive him?!) I just want him to redeem himself in his own eyes so that he can stand tall as a man and be sustained by the successes in his life rather than be held down by the weight of his regrets.

Considering I've been in this stranglehold with him for 20 years, I feel fffffrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

nightnsa: They ARE fantastic in concert. This next tour should be no exception. I'm seeing them here on the 25th and then heading to Houston to see them the next night. I ususally do road trips when they come around, though. It's my thing.

They rock! I haven't heard the new one in its entirety yet, but looking forward to it.
