Sexual Peak

Sexual Peak
Fact, or fiction?

"Men reach their sexual peak at eighteen. Women reach theirs at thirty-five. Do you get the feeling that God is playing a practical joke?"

Rita Rudner quotes (American writer and comedian, b.1955 Miami, Florida, USA

Taken from the-vu

"According to Dr. Gardos, the notion that women hit their sexual peak at 30 is very misleading. You will find many websites and articles on the very subject talking about how women get their groove on and peak at 30, or 35 while others say 40. But if you are talking about a hormone flux, this is simply not true. Men and women develop the same hormones at the same time: puberty. The only reason why women seem so much more interested at a later age is because we were taught NOT to be interested in sex when we were kids. If you experimented with sex like the boys did, you would be labeled the town Jezebel. Only when women mature are they able to feel more comfortable talking about and practicing sex. They finally open up and begin to feel normal about desiring sex.

Then it becomes a whole new world for women. The reason why people argue about the age of the sexual peak in women is because it varies for each women. It might take some women, for example, longer to learn how to orgasm. But when each woman finally feels comfortable with her body and the virtues of sex, it just might be like hitting puberty for her, especially if she had always lived a reserved or conservative life. This can be a great time in a woman's life; a true sexual awakening. And if you measure a sexual peak by interest level, then you can say that she has hit her prime. On the other hand, there are some women who go wild and crazy in their twenties and never give a thought to those societal messages, i.e. “Good Girls Don't”. All things considered, these girls may not experience this sudden surge of sexual prowess at the 35 year mark. They have already experienced it all. Ahem. But not me, of course. I am an angel.

If there are any young guys out there who are tempted to seduce an older woman just because she may be in her sexual prime and easily lured by an open invitation, you may want to think again. However, it may interest all men and women to know that according to a recent publication in the Oxford Journals, women do experience a subtle phase of heat on a monthly schedule. Mid-month on her cycle to be exact. During this time, women are shown to be more attracted to androstenone (a pheromone like sweat substance), are more attracted to symmetrical and masculine faces and more attracted to the subject of sex. Even as basic as this is, its still fun to talk about. In the same journal, I also uncovered a freaky fun fact. The word for heat, Estrus, comes from a Greek word 'oistrus' which means Gadfly. Literally, it means 'in a frenzied state' because when the gadflies would buzz around cattle, they would drive the cattle into a frenzied state which resembled the same state they go into when they wanted to mate. So when scientists refer to estrus in a female, remember that this concept originated from cows."

Although, I am not yet 30, I tend to agree with this point of view. I was having a chat with some friends the other day about sexual peaks, and I brought up that I thought women's sexual peaks tend to on average be later in life due society and how women are still even today "supposed" to supress their hormonal urges. And just so you know I was one of those aforementioned Jezebels, haha.

Now with the way things are going with Viagra and such I wonder what studies on sexual peak will be like in say 20 years from now.

*Image was funny, so I thought I would share*

WORK THIS TIME PLEASE! X4

Yah, now they are saying Viagra might have made a few men go blind! I hope I haven't hit my sexual peak. How depressing.

SexTitten25 - men may hit their peak at 18, but I doubt they are very good in bed then.

Man, I hope we don't hit our peak at 35. I'd hate to think I missed it

I did notice more 'interest' on my part once I hit 30. But that may be because I found myself single again at 29. I went a little crazy for about 3 years. Now I'm more interested in quality over quantity. And hopefully with the right partners I will keep 'peaking'.

I was raised in a similar environment to what saraswathi_2005 described. I started being sexually active in high school, though. Still, catholic values were deeply ingrained in my psyche. I spent the next 20 years weeding them out! I like to think that hourglasses is right. The right partner (or partners for some) is the key to reaching your peak - better yet, going from peak to peak to...!

I've got no chance of living long enough to reach my peak.

I'm still on the breast at 36

I agree with much of what you posted here... but I really could have gone without that viagra image... "oy vey!"

Speaking as the male half of this couple, I think I peaked at age 28, which coincided with the end of my oppressive and ill-advised marriage to my 1st girlfriend and childhood sweetheart...

So there's some truth in the theory that the diffrent ages of sexual peaks are the result of society's pressure to suppress desire, even from the male perspective.

I went on a Viagra study at the University of SoCal, they supplied a whack of tablets for me to take every week ! I saved those blue pills every week , a self serving bastard that I am, attended a swing club to test my endurance, I woke up the next morning tied up with 5 pairs of panties. I wish I could remember what happened...

well I'll take it as I still have more growing up to do
I would have to say Im 10x more horny at this age then when I was 18.
not only that but I have alot better controll now aswell, If want to I can go for hours with out shooting my load ,or I can do it fast depending on the 1st five minutes if I have landed a dead fish or a live one and just rather get it over with. and at the age 18 there was no way for me to just keep on going after I would cum.. it was like stick a fork in me im done. but maybe just maybe that older guys get bored to fast and start to see it as a chore like takeing out the trash. It may also be that when guys 1st do it... its braging rights type thing, for girls its peer pressure. then as guys get older they loose the immature friends they used to brag to. and as girls turn to women who knows... i certainly cant comment for a woman the why and when the sex changes form for them. lol maybe mans idea of sex becomes screaming at the tv during football season and that tides him over till the next 1... I still cant watch sports and get into it Television just plain sux. and I still have high sex drive.. I wonder if theres something to that?

I think it's true. I think it's unfortunate for men actually. Guys hit their peak early, but they don't know what they're doing (even at 30 y/o, most of them still dont LO (And really, what kind of chicks can you get when you're 18? 18 y/o chicks...who don't know what they're doing. ALthough I remember being damn enthusiastic at least LO

I turned 29 a few months ago...I was always a smitten kitten, always liked sex. But the past 8 months my imagination has been out of control... Am happy with myself, my life, and am not ashamed of my sexy side. I think the mental part of being comfortable in your own skin has a lot to do with it for girls. It took almost 30 years for me to get there....

I think the advent of the modern male meds- Viagra, Cialis etc are the best thing to happen to women ever. Personally, in my experience, when guys start to get around 35, they get good. By 40- excellent. I also think being at a point where you're not so distracted by "starting a career", "getting married"/"avoiding getting married", "buying a house", "starting a family" ... you dont have as much on youre mind, as much pressure when you're 35-40ish as you did when you were 25, so you aren't as distracted. You can enjoy what youre doing more... Then again your experience will vary greatly depending on if you're married/in a committed relationship or not...

There is no averages. Some women keep their peak until late 60. Some dry up at 30 and have no interest in sex to the shagrin of their husbands. One of the ways to keep them active is to get them into threesomes. read our Blog voyeurs69in2003 about MFM and compare notes.
