Dance with me ... Samba anyone ... ?

Anyone loves Samba?
Im trying to learn how to dance the Samba dance.
Heh. On my own and trying to convince my hubby to be my partner. ( Since I cannot have access to the internet at my current place, I need to find some other new entertainment. )

I love dance and music. Watching and listening.
I cannot dance myself. But simply enjoy watching people do the dancing, especially those to the beats of Latin rhythm. Personally I love Cha-Cha, Rumba and Samba. Samba is my favourite and is originated from Brazil. Too bad none of my friends are into these. Most of them like club and disco dancing.

I think its difficult for a person who is deaf tone or with no rhythm beats to pick up. Sad to say, my hubby is one which is funny to see him trying to dance with me. At least hes accommodating since he has been spending so much time with the TV set.

Well lets see if I can master the art of Samba. And anyone here can really do this dance like to teach me...

Hi SA,

If it is not too late, would you sign up with me as your partner ?
Innocently of course. It will be `Dance With Me' Part 2.
I want to sign up but no partner.

Im really shy to go for a real lesson. I will let you know.
Maybe we can have some private lessons. For shy people like me.

Samba!..the most exciting and spectacular Latin Dance one could ever learn! Dont wait around and look for a partner! Find a teacher..and surely there would be some male students around to dance with you!
I did the Jive, Samba and Cha Cha. Samba is still my fav! But I am really not that good at it...and its bloody taxing to the body. You really got to have a very nimble body to do this. The body got to be totally disjointed to make it look really good....

Thats why Im so shy to go for a real lesson. I dont have the body to do the dance. So I gotta learn it behind my own closed doors and mirror.

Hi Serene Anne,

I used to do a lot of ballroom dancing, formation dancing, was a member of a dance club in germany until my partner got married. My favourites are lating dances... Rumba, Cha-cha, Samba, Paso Doble, and Jive(although not really a latin dance). I did a presntation at college about the history of those dances and their meanings, about the difference between the latind dances and the modern(quickstep, foxtrott, walz, etc.)

I would love to take this up again, really would.

Interesting. Hope you can find a good partner and start dancing again.

Your post reminds me of my hubby. I've been pestering him to go learn ballroom dancing with me but he said it's for the elderly. *shake head*

Yes... Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba, they are all sexy and fun. Also... waltz, salsa, foxtrot, swing, jive... I enjoy watching others dancing them.

Hmmm... but I think I still like my hubby to learn these dances with me. Well... at least we have something to do in common when we grow old.

Make it your challenge.... turn me ON!!

Thats right. Ballroom dancing, something that I would like to take up if my hubby is interested. But I know he will not. Definitely not his cup of tea.

My best friend used to dance with me but now shes not around here. But its kinda weird to see two ladies doing that. We were learning to dance that time. But was fun.
