Simple Elegance

Okay, so I never thought I’d be blogging about Jessica Simpson but I cannot get this imagine of the singer attending the 2006 CFDA Awards in New York City last week out of my mind. All right, so she may be a bit of bimbette but for heaven’s sake–she’s only twenty-three! Regardless, she always seems to be a pleasant enough young lady.

I have always thought Miss Simpson was a looker---the ravishing blond hair, but moreover those gorgeous brown eyes and that beautiful smile. What really caught me the other day was this particular image of her. I caught it on TV and was struck by the beautiful winter white dress she was wearing, but moreover, I was blown away by her elegant hairstyle---the lovely and always classic chignon. I was taken by the simple and elegant look. To me it was so “Audrey”!!! I’ve always been drawn to Audrey Hepburn’s well-stated, simple elegance.

She is absolutely gorgeous.
But, when watching that video of her version "These Boots Were Made for Walkin'", I was disappointed to see she didn't have a lotta booty. AH well. Her great boobies certainly make up for that. I also like that she seems to have a little bit more modesty than some other young pop stars..... She comes off as being more classy. She does dress up real nice!

I just wish more women would dress with class & style rather than the sleezy cheap tart look.

Less is not more at all.

Sensual & sexy shines through a real woman who is at ease in her own skin enough not to have to thrust it in the faces of everyone.

She looks amazing in her photo.

A beautiful lady.

in my defense, i don't watch tv much, i don't watch music videos.. unless she is swinging a hammer with mike holmes(admire is integrity) or jim caruk (love his thighs) i won't know who she is.. the only females i would likely easily recognize are debbie travis and whats her name from crossing jordon..
i don't read mags that feature celebrities..

Fitbloke: Audrey was a stunner, an accidental trendsetter who marched to the beat of her own drum. Feminine but no fussy. Rare was a woman in here era who dared to shear her hair so short! Jessica is a natural beauty–I hardly know any of the young girls names–but she has gradually caught my attention---not by her silliness–but her beauty–it is a beauty that she really cannot help. However, if each of us were in Hollywood, we could all look darn good with a entourage of 12 ensuring our best face forward. That is why they call them “make-up” and “hair” artists.

TMK: Of course you do!

Hippie: I love “These Boots are Made For Walking!!!” I even karoakeed to it one time! Are ya ready boots? Start walking! ~cage dance begins~~

Phoenix: I keep up with the styles, but not with the trends. I do not wear trends well. I tend to be a classic dresser with a hint of the trend thrown in.

SSS: If anyone could have seen that photo of her live, perhaps they would have been as impressed as I. I just loved her hair! I cannot wear white–because I AM white, but I love winter white, all year round.

Sexyeyes: Yes, the dress is a tad bit short–but she is 23! I LOVE the dress, but the hem would have to be dropped a couple of three inches for me!

TMK: You again? Darlin’, I don’t watch much TV either. I just happen to catch her on a late night rerun of some gossip show and then caught the picture on the newsstand in the grocery store. It takes me YEARS before I have the slightest idea who any of the up and coming stars might me. I do not have cable television. I am usually dazed and confused.
