Performance

Most everything in life is based on our performance. Performance at work, in the bedroom, in life and in our outward appearances. You can't escape from being judged. By your superiors, peers and even your loved ones!

Am I attractive? Am I a good worker? Am I a good lover? Am I a good mother? Daughter, sister and friend? Housekeeper? Financial planner? Driver? Do I have all of the areas covered? Are all of my ducks in a row? How is my performance? Even our blogs ask us to take a poll...Do I want to know how my blog is performing? How is my wrighting?

You may see that I didn't add a poll to my blog....maybe I am trying to escape from the pressure of good performance.

Yes perhaps even loved ones judge hun. But what matters as you try to answer all those questions above is "Does it matter to you?" and "Do you think you are...(attractive, good worker, good lover, good mother, etc...).

There are plenty of other life forces pressuring and judging us without us joining in and coming down on ourselves. I would rather connect than judge -- enjoying who and what you are instead of who or what you are not. If you really want me to judge, understand that I'll take everything I know of you (which isn't much) and say unabashedly "Yes" to the above questions. I'll bet you are all those things and more. Again tho', I'd rather not judge you but simply "be" and experience who you are and what you're about at whatever level our respective life journey's allow.

You are not a puppet for society, lovers, bosses, family, or friends. The strings aren't necessary to your happiness and fullness of life. That is a function of self determination and, sadly, there's no one to blame for the strings but ourselves. The puppeteer, in the end, is of our own making and/or choosing.

What I read of you is appreciated and enjoyed. I thank you for that performance.

Though, I cant argue much, it is surprising some of the ways people judge others. I dont see much point to a poll on someone's blog. what you write in your blog is yours and it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks.
