Sweet nothings

Please do not leave me hanging on this vine of curious reasoning.. if you dare to glance, then at least risk in the wake of your leaving.

Color me in you thoughts one way or another. Let it be one word or several, leave not a stone unturned.

Don't hide.

A Farmer, anxious to start a new life, determined to leave the village he had lived all this life. In his mind he could see a new farm: one with lucious, untilled fields, fertile. Perfect for working and growing his crops beyond any harvest he had ever known before.

And so he left, to the surprise of all and dismay of some. But he could not deny the desire of his soul.

Along the way he passed into a valley. It was rich, fertile beyond his wildest imagination. A small river provided water. Regular rain provided irrigation. The soil was rich and soft.

Well, the Farmer said to himself, no point in moving on. This place is perfect. And so he settled himself to his task.

Now the Farmer considered his situation and said to himself, "This valley is beautiful already; rich in vegetation, lush, and green. I should consider carefully the best way to add to this, for I dare not disturb the beauty nature has already provided."

You see, this Farmer was not like most. He did not see his task as wrenching from the land merely that which he desired. No, he saw his task as working with the beauty and nature he found, and exploring ways to heighten its beauty, to bring forth in greater abundance the richness he beheld at every turn.

In fact, the more he beheld the beauty of the land, the more he begin to think of himself as a parner in it's production. He began to think less about what he wanted, and more about the uniqueness of the land and its especial characteristics; that which it was best suited to produce. And he resolve to touch it with the greatest of care. With tenderness that befit the concern of a lover, he poured his passion into working the land, giving his all to it that it might produce riches beyond any ever seen.
