The surgery went well.

I see bits of sunlight and scraps of blue through the forest's leaves. My father is out of surgery and it went well. Time will now tell the tale. The first 24 hours are very unsure. but the next 24 hours will be less unsure. And then each day a little better. I do hope.

And it was nice to take a breath again. I had not realized that I had been holding mine.

Thank you.

HI'ya ... read your posts and sending you "prayers and special wishes" for your dad. Thanks for dropping by and leaving a "Blog-Footprint" for me to follow. Times like this, can be difficult alone.
I believe in the "voice" in our dreams. I'm so glad you got to talk to your dad and you are comforted.
Also, happy to have your visit at the Illusive Willow Heights, drop by anytime. Yes, sailing is available and we'll make sure you have a first mate to keep an "eye" out. Rest up. The rest is in higher hands.
warm huggies 2ya

Dear Dean,

I was reading through the blog and wish to convey my deepest prayers and wishes of health for you and your loved ones. No one can really convey in words any form of comfort when it comes to the topic of, heaven forbid, sicknes and mortality. All I have to say is that you can be amazed at what the human being is capable of, and that you can take to the bank.

I served in the Red Cross for several years and I have learned that the human body is the most perplexing device nown to date. It can be as soft as morning due and at the same time as hard as deaf stone. Men the size of tree trunks have fallen to a pin prick, while the most fragile looking infant has survived all the forces of destruction that tempests had to offer.

What remains is the fingerprint, the smell, the smile captured in a fellow human's memory that can be a testament for the fallen to the end of time.

Knowing you from your words, and how you said your parents have been an influence in your life only goes to show that their testament lives on.

Best of wishes my friend, and thoughts of your loved ones.
