I had just left funintheday2006please read his blog on the fact of a day of silence to pay our respects for this anniversary to this terrible event that has changed the world in so many ways..

As much as I agree with the day of silence.. I also feel we need a place of kindness to escape to .. and this is a friendly place to escape to.. to share your feelings.. to share a tribute to 9/11.. there may be one of us out there that has lost a loved one.. or a job..or there entire existence has been changed since this horrible day..

We have spouses of service people that sit behind the computer to escape the news and the where abouts of there spouses, son's daughters.. friends...because of 9/11

So just another thought.. lets leave them something to read..showing our respects..the day before..the day after.. and forever..

thanks coug.. is what being American is all about.. we earned the right to pay our respects and tributes how we may..for others that are not Amrican and show support.. we love you .
Agreed! I've had people from other areas out of the US tell me how much they support our troops & it's incredible; for all those who say otherwise, they need to know that world wide people will stand for our troop!

As many say, our freedom is not free but earned by the blood, sweat & tears of our solidiers & their families who gave them to us to fight for our rights to be free!

and a good friend you are
Thank you, so are you!

Looking forward to your post tomorrow, I honestly don't know what I'm going to do but thinking an "honor post" for those in my family who have served &/or lost their lives through several wars going back to WWII.

To show my support & appreciation.

I want to thank you again for mentioning it as I saw the "day of silence" posts & I didn't want to do that myself.

thanks coug..we all can use some encouragment.. during this anniversary
Well my friend did serve over in Afghanistan & lost his best buddy in an attack; he has told me first hand what goes on other there & I saw he a few months back. Still a kick to be around & he enlisted because of 9/11, he wanted to do his part & I supported him on his choice.

Thanks again,

Very lovely idea! I like that a lot. I have a friend who is still serving, even if over here in the US but also family members.

Thanks for mentioning it!!

Take care,

a moment of silence is always good to show our respect and love for the ones we lost..but the survivors need our support to carry on.. and the ones that our fighting for us over sea's.. my heart goes out to all there familys and loved ones that can't turn on the t.v without hearing of another soldier killed...

we are just really so lucky and should not take each other for granted..
love to you both..
