Do you ever have one of those days where your patience is just hanging on by a thread? You know those days when absolutely everything is getting on your nerves. Nothing you do seems to work right. Something breaks. Something to make you think the world is definitely against you.

We've all had those days. Days when burying our head in the sand seems like the very best solution. Days when you think nothing worse could happen ... and it usually does.

I've had quite a few of those days. I try to keep them in mind when my kids are yelling at each other, mad about having to do chores and they can't find a way out of them. So they put it off as long as possible with 'In a minute' ...

That damn minute always lasts several hours. The one thing that makes me lose my patience faster than anything else. I hate having to repeat myself over and over 20+ times. I get more response talking to the fence post outside. At least the dog does what I tell it to.

I get to the point where it's much easier to just do it myself. I have a friend that says just leave and tell them it better be done when you get back. I've done that ... and sometimes it works. Sometimes they are scurrying around to start when I come back after a couple hours.

So ... a new year ... another goal ... I'll have to work on that patience with the kids. So I like the quiet when they are in school ... get a lot accomplished - sometimes ... if I'm not blogging.

Have a good day!
