A Day in the Life ....

I'm sure the ladies of this site ... and maybe some of the men, understand what I mean when I say " I HATE LAUNDRY ". This stuff breeds like rabbits when you turn out the lights. I am on my fifth load of clothes today. And still have another four (at least) to do.

Well ... really I should clarify that statement ... I don't hate all laundry .. I just HATE the white clothes ... i.e. SOCKS !!! There are four people that live in this house ... three of those full time. And from what I just put in the washer, you'd think it was 12.

I do laundry (at least a couple loads) every bleepin day! Once a week I strip all the beds and wash all that stuff too. Couple times a year, I take down the curtains and clean them, and while they are being washed, I'll go after the dust that showed up when taking them down.

Now, with three full time people living in this house ... two of them are kids. Oldest is 17 (as of last Saturday), and the youngest 14. I have tried many times to get them to turn their socks right side out when they TAKE THEM OFF THEIR FEET! This has not made a difference. I have made them stand in the laundry room and turn all of their socks out before putting in the washer ... BUT they ALWAYS forget! So I have to spend 20 minutes (seems much longer) turning all the socks right side out before I wash them.

Now ... I know ... many of you (probably men) are saying 'What difference does that make?' Well ... let me enlighten you. When you (mostly kids do this) walk around outside in your socks, they get grass clippings, leaves, whatever from outside on them. When you take them off (again, as kids do), just peeling them off your feet and they are wrong side out. Okay ... now you put them in the washer and they go through the cycle and into the dryer, and then they come out ready to be folded and put away.

Now ... you can just stuff them in a drawer like that ... or match them up ... or you might pull out a pair to wear right away. Then you turn them right side out to put them on ... and what happens??? All the stuff that was on the outside of the sock before being washed IS STILL THERE!! And now it's on your floor ... another mess to clean up. Yippee!!!!!

Of course, this does not bother most kids. That's what 'MOM' is for .... right??? It's no wonder that I need a vacation. Somewhere with no kids, no phones, no TV's, no cars, no computer, plenty of X-Rated to drink, good massages, great sex.

Okay ... rant over. For now. Can you tell it has been a while since I had any??? Not even any for my birthday Oh well ... hoping your day is better.

With laundry I have found that no matter what the pet peeves are for the one washing if you correct those there will be a new set of pet peeves. This stems from the larger issue. How many really want to do the laudry. I dislike making beds but since I am usually the last one out of it I have to. I know that there are several reasons I hate it but as one of those reasons go away I find a new one pops in its place. Life's most unsavory lessons. Chores is really a four letter word.

Since it has been awhile since you had any what is your plan to correct that issue? Maybe you can find some wayward man looking for a wayward woman to please over and over again.

Well ... 'Cole' ... Thanks, maybe we'll have to work something out.

'ilsgicjemru'... Thanks Sexy, I'd be interested in your opinion.

'outdoorsman' .. It's a little known fact that built into every washing machine there is a Sock Gremlin. The manufacturers have kept this fact hidden, and only a few know the truth. So, I'm telling the world. This Sock Gremlin has to be fed, and he especially likes new socks. So when you buy a new package of twelve pair, when you wash them, you come out with ten or eleven pair plus one. BTW ... you can't have the Gremlin removed. Even the repairmen must take an oath to never disturb the Sock Gremlin.

'True' .. I have always believed that once you learn to accept one thing you can't change ... another is always waiting to show it's face. It's another of those facts of life. I like wayward men
