La Vida Loca

Blaise Pascal once said that there are only two kinds of people in the world: seekers and nonseekers.Either we are pilgrims looking for answers in order to make sense of our world, or we are wanderers who have turned off onto byways of distraction or despair, alientating ourselves from wonder.

If you have been following my blog, you are probably a seeker. That's good to be alive is to seek. The people I feel the greatest compassion for are the non-seekers,To turn away from the great questions and dilemmas of lide is a tragedy, for the quest for meaning and truth makes life worth living.

Many people, particularly the young have been persuaded that such a search is futile. They have been told from an early age that each person can pick his or her own truth from a multicultural smorgasbord. Many older people have run up against reality once too often and have misgiving about the pragmatic accomodations they have reached with life. Some people put aside such questions as the age, disparaging the search for truth as youthful fancy. To me, the big questions are now more relevant than before. As I advance in years,I find myself assessing my life critically.

The search for truth and meaning is a lifelong process and if you ever think you have all the answers, you can become insufferable and dangerous. That is why I still consider myself a seeker.I'm learning new things every day.

So let me invite you in this blog to join a conversation about what makes life worth living.Together we will look to find an way of living that makes life truly good.

I keep on living because somewhere inside lives a foolish optimist who keeps saying, "Never mind. Tomorrow has to be better than this shit!"

My PE teacher also said there were two types of people: boys and girls. And that man had PhD. Genius.

I am definately a seeker. For some reason I keep ending up in relationships with non seekers. I think this is why, ultimately the relationships are doomed. You have made me think there, friend rev.

Bye everyone, it was a blast

A seeker for sure and like tracy a big reason my mariages didn't work-I always seem to hook up with non-seekers. I've often been told I look for the unattainable and for answers that don't exist. Nonsense.
Hugs, Rosa
