It looks so pretty from here in my window on the 4th floor. I just wish I could have the world be like a snowglobe and whenever I wanted I could push a button or something and have it snow. Then later, when I got sick of it, I could push the same button again and it would all disappear. As I sit here watching it swirl and dance through the air, it reminds me of being a little kid and wanting to go outside and play in it. I loved to make snow angels. I have several specific memories of snow. First off, it was skiing with my family. I have been skiing on and off for 20 years. Secondly, I remember having snow days off from school(which was rare on the Westside of Cleveland) and drinking hot chocolate, watching movies, and making cookies with my Mom and sister. Third, I remember making an extremely elaborate snow fort opposite my sisters and getting a snowball thrown in my face. (I think she was just jealous my fort was better than hers.) Lastly, it's a memory of my Aunt when she was still alive. She stayed with us for a winter while she got back on her financial feet and she dressed up in my Dad's snow gear and played outside with me and my sister when she had a broken ankle. When she passed away some 8 years later, I look back on that winter and snow-filled day with love. Back to the present, I look out the window again to see a white-out begining. I can't see to then end of my street, the cars are getting recovered with snow in mere moments. I should be in class right now, but I'm not. I think I might take my thin-skinned dog for a walk in this (she freezes, but loves snow). Then perhaps a quick ride to the libray to get a movie or 2. I know for sure the weather is getting bad, when you see a snow plow go down our street. The reason I didn't go to class today? I hate getting all bundled up for class to stand outside for 20 mins. of standing outside and then 5 hours of sitting inside sweating and then 20 more mins, of standing outside waiting for the bus after class. But what am I gonna do now? Bundle myself up, and take my dog for a walk. Sometimes my logic just defies reason.
