What's in a name?

I realize some people are just more creative than others. There are those people who have the ability to constantly think outside the box and are always about to provide unique ideas. They are the ones that create the items that leave you saying "why didn't I come up with that?".

It is these same creative and unique people that can come up with greatest screen names on the site. I obviously won't post any of the screen names as examples because I don't know them personally or have their permission to do so. But you know the types of IDs that I am talking about. They are the ones that when you read them they bring a smile to your face, or peak your curiousity. They are the type of names that intrigue you enough to look at the profile even though they may not even have a picture attached to the profile.

Personally, I don't have a creative bone in my body. When I have to come up with a team name, ID or something similiar my mind comes to a complete stop. Give me a stock portfolio or an investment offer and I can analyze the hell out of it, but make me come up with a screen name, and I become a complete idiot. all of the screen names I was trying to register were already in use. So Red Wing Fan simply became RDWNGFN. Occasionally, I may need to add a number at the end because the ID is already in use.

I was once told by a friend that he always asks about a person's tattoos because there is always a unique story as to why they decided to get that specific tattoo, and on the location. I have found out the same to be true with a persons screen name. Regardless, of the site, there is always a story as to why the person chose that certain ID. With a site like this, of course some of the name are obvious as to the story. But it still tells you a little something about person. If you dig a little deeper you will find a deeper meaning to that screen name even when it already seems sooo obvious to the casual observer. I received an e-mail from a woman once asking me what made me such a "wiser man". She thought for sure she had solved the great mystery to my e-mail address and there was some hidden meaning behind it(it was spelled Yzerman btw). Once I explained the rationale behind the name, she said that felt a bit embarrassed because she thought for sure she knew the hidden code to the name. It was simply my lack of creativity and passion for anything related to the Detroit Red Wings.

The next time you see an ID that peaks your interest, or makes you smile, or even laugh...don't hesitate to ask why/how they came up with it. I am sure you will find a great story behind it, even on a site like this!

Cabot Boy ... I didn't know you were a blogger! I'm sooo gonna put you on my watched list! You'll never get rid of me now!

Calico =^..^=

BTW:

I LOVED your big screen TV and lawn mower, but you need to trim your bushes a bit! It was most inconvenient trying to spy on you in them! Hehe! See ya around!
