Testosterone and cars should never mix

All right guys. What's up with the "I'm the testosterone machine and you're shit." attitude Ive been getting these last few days??? As soon as it starts to warm up and the sun starts to shine every brain cell goes on vacation. How could you who drive around here not see someone in a dayglo yellow sweatshirt, in a marked crosswalk, walking a harliquin Great Dane??? And then you make a pass at me after you nearly run me down??? Almost makes me want to take up with a woman and see how the other half lives. AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

Maybe it was the great dane. They could have been intimidated by the fact that your dog was hung better than they were (assuming it is a male dane). Or maybe they were intimidated by the fact that the dog could put it's front paws on their shoulders and look them straight in the eyes.

Random, you are absolutely correct. [Some] guys are total assholes, may or may not be due to the testosterone, I don't know for sure. I can't speak for everyone, but like everything else generalities hopefully do not become prejudice, although I think this is part of human natures subconscious built-in defense to try to categorize things, myself included. We must all try to see through the facade of the human shell which houses the individual inside as the older I get the more I realize we are all one, just in different colors, shades, sizes, shapes, and whatnot, but in the end individuals.

I feel sorry for those who do not resist the urge to become bigoted by their experiences. Surely we have come light-years from say just 20-30 years ago when there were separate drinking fountains for "negroes". God, what idiots we were, still striving to become homogeneous in our perspectives, yet still held back by the scars of our past history as the human race.

I have come to learn, and feel so much healthier for it, to open my ears and listen to what a stranger has to say before seeing the color or their skin or the accent of their language. It is in the end very gratifying for both myself and the stranger to reach this point as I believe it is mostly our subconscious which has locked into the broken logic of prejudice, again, probably from millions of years ago when it had a real purpose. Today, thanks to those who have strived for freedom and equality we are at least heading in the right direction. Perhaps some day we will all have shed our faulty beliefs that "they" are all the same, as we rationally know this simply could not be further from the truth.

Funny though, back to the testosterone issue, I have to admit there is "some" validity to your observations and the correlation between male aggressiveness and males inherently.

Let's all try to step back and see the humor in our faults, and strive for a better tomorrow.

I love your posts, did not mean to ramble on regarding related [or perhaps totally unrelated] issues, but wanted to get in my 2 cents worth.

Peace.

Hi, me again,

Message to Random,

Just wanted to make sure you don't take my ramblings the wrong way. I laughed affectionately at your comments regarding testosterone because I think [to some degree] you are correct. I then for some reason began to think "why" did I laugh. I realized that it was because of the paradox between some generalities which are somewhat true, and others which are not, all part of the complex human psyche.

Anyway, please don't take my comments as critical, it just so happened that you sparked me to think which is a good thing and I enjoyed your post.

John
