Lust and romance

Getting this mix right is important even here, unless you're a serial one-nighter.

I've said before that culturally there still isn't enough humour in sex, both as a subject for a joke and as part of any sexual experience. I'm lucky, there's a lot of laughter in the loving I get and it's a happy thing..I'd miss it if we lost that together.

I love this photo by Michael Rosen, it's fresh and natural and vibrant. They're both passionate but they're having fun too and it shows. Rosen's the best kind of explicit photographer because he's smart enough to know what makes a picture come alive and strong enough to stay uninvolved when he's taking it. There's no risk of tacky voyeurism in browsing his art, it's intelligent and well-realised in a way that porn never can aspire to. He's simply expressing a truth with each image.

His pictures aren't actually erotic either, they're just sexual - they tell stories of moments between people, they capture an essence. As a slowly evolving photographer myself, I realise how tough that is to achieve and how brilliant it is when it happens.

This one is actually meant to be the other way up but I like it this way

It's a nice picture. My lover and I have so much fun together in and out of bed. It's awesome. I agree with you 100%.

Yeah, Neece, just a shame that mags don't tell people having fun in bed is just as important as good oral technique yadda yadda yadda

I guess that's why blogs work better than mags, people get to talk things over properly.
