Gawd this word gets threadbare here. It's just not a word you can apply to yourself, and swearing/fighting a lot or showing your nads doesn't make you feisty. It's something really innate, and you either have it or not, like charisma or being a diva (another threadbare term). A real diva is unmistakable, and some bimbo with a penchant for hissy fits is not the same thing at all. Being feisty, being a diva..these things are hallmarks of quality.

I know the select few I class under either description. The one that most comes to mind is a fat whitehaired 78-year old woman I saw in a nightclub years ago. She was strutting in PVC and red patent thighboots, and she sang the walls down. I'll never forget her dynamism, sheer style and presence.

Not sure Dita von Teese is a full blown diva just yet; I reckon in ten years she will be. Women have to grow into diva-inity. I want to kick her a bit for the mink she's wearing but she's a diva-in-progress and that means she thinks for herself.

Just as she should.

Think she'd look infinitely better with a bit of quality carpet wrapped around her. That or go for the jungle look and find an accomodating moth eaten lion skin rug to drape herself in.

Think Marilyn might object to that, ruggy, and you'll end up as another of his jackets.
