Benefit of the Doubt

Well I will go ahead and give him the benefit of the doubt. He has never been one to pick up on any subtle hints or anything like that. Unless I whack him upside the head and tell him specifics he won't get it right if at all. Although when I asked what we were doing next weekend he said he had thought about getting together with some friends. That might be code for "I have planned a get together for you" and I just didn't pick up on it.

I think that

a) He is trying to keep things open due to the fact that I am expecting a death in my family very soon and may not even get a chance to really celebrate and

b) I'm more freaked out about it because of said impending death. I could really use a light hearted night about now and maybe that's why I am putting so much emphasis on this day.

It's a thought anyhow..

Hopefully he has something up his sleeve for you Bunny. Personally, I get very quiet about an upcoming event, so as not to spoil it, I am not very good at keeping secrets that way. Maybe he is the same way?

I am very sorry to hear about the illness in your family, I lost my father a year ago in November, My heart goes out to you.
