Moody but not blue

Mood: Part expository, part loopy

I like the “Choose Mood” feature of these blogs, but it seems to me they left out a lot. Where’s ”pensive”? How about “wondrous”? “Playful”? “Reflective”? They have “weird” but not “wired”. I can be one or the other and sometimes both at once. They have “contemplative”. I’m always contemplative. Some people say I contemplate too damn much. Some of these things don’t even strike me as real moods. Is “slippery” a mood? I’m not sure, but I like it. I do feel slippery sometimes. Obviously I’m going to have to make up my own mood from time to time.

I still haven’t come up with a snappy name for this blog. I had one picked out, but it didn’t fit in the space available. It was “Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation.” That’s the title of an album (do they still call CDs albums?) by a band called Funeral for a Friend. I don’t care for the band, but the phrase struck an immediate chord with me the moment I saw it. It’s how I see myself. I don’t dress formally if I can avoid it. I hope whoever invented the necktie was strangled with it, accidentally or on purpose, I don’t care. As for the conversation part, I do like to talk, if only to myself. Is that what I’m doing now? Talking to myself? Feels like it. Wouldn’t you agree? Why, yes, I would.

Okay, now I’m just starting to weird myself out. Maybe I should have put “weird” as my mood after all.

Talking to yourself is fine, even a little aruging is ok, but when it comes to blows (fighting) with yourself is when you worry!

Actually to me it's amazing just what you learn about yourself by writing these blogs. It is a bit like talking to one's self as you never know if anybody is actually going to read it. I use it to put order to my thoughts and if someone reads it and comments then that's a huge bonus. Blog on my on.
