A thanks to War Vets

On this Fourth of July I would like to that all war veterans for their service. From the revolutionary patriots who gave up their farms and futures so we could have a nation, to those who are doing their best in Iraq. Their sacrifice can never be repaid. I can’t imagine what it would be like to see your buddies die in horrible ways. To endure years at the “ Hanoi Hilton” only to return to an ungrateful nation that boos and spits at you. You did your job, you followed orders, you have nothing to be ashamed of, we do.

I thank them for the freedom to be able to sit in my comfortable house, with a full belly, having the right to post my opinion on forums such as this. We owe it to them.

I try to give a bit of extra respect to those that served. I have said thank you to those with their legionnaires hats on, or war veteran license plates. I do love how when you thank a veteran, it is met with a smile and a nod, or a firm appreciative handshake.

So here is to you !

That goes for all veterans. Whether they served during wartime or not. Thanks P&S.

I was going to say I can't help it there wasn't a war but Keith once again has it covered.
