Friends with Benefits,

On this site I see many people use term “Friends with Benefits” in the profiles. What does that mean?

Here is my take on the descriptor:

I like to think of this as a casual yet discrete friendship with a person you are attracted to both physically and mentally. This person would be someone that I could share my most intimate ideas and fantasies and discuss ways in which they could be lived out. Someone that does not need a relationship, but companionship.

Do you agree, and if not how would you describe this term?

I agree! A friend is smoeone that won't judge you for your fantasies but will help you live them out. In my experience most women cannot fit into this category unless they are married and enjoying your company on the side.

for me a friend with benefits is identical to any other friend that i may chill and chat with and appreciate for who they are and the fun time we have together.

the difference is that sex is another fun thing that can be shared if either are in the mood.

the difference between a friend with benefits and a romantic partner is simply that the intention behind the relationship is not romance or partnership.

sometimes friends with benefits become romantic partners...
sometimes they become regular friends.

that has been my experience.
