Read my mind.

DINNER TIME!

Example A: He's working late in the garage. She brings him a nice sandwich and some cold beer. He takes a well needed break while they share some time together. He loves it when she reads his mind. He concludes she loves him.

Example B: She comes home from work. He's made dinner. The table is set with a table cloth, flowers and candle light. Together they enjoy a good meal, some wine and some good conversation. The stereo in the background plays their song. She loves it when he reads her mind. She feels he loves her.

Men and women have such different make up yet in the end if we appreciate our partner for what they do that is indeed LOVE!

It's all about caring...and the little things. Because the little things aren't so little...they are the base for a good relationship. They are what you build on.

Then again, maybe she's working late in the garage, and he brings her a sandwich and a cold beer . . .

To read a mind ya gotta first read a life. And that takes both time and effort. (Carson McCullers wrote a story where a man's great love fails, and he decides that he started with something far too complex--a woman, which is to say, a person. So he retrenches and sets himself to learn first how to love a rock, and then maybe a plant . . . )

My fave part of this: "He concludes" but "She feels." It was intentional, yes?

What an inspired post. Just beautifully and so concisely written. And I absolutely love the title, "Dinner Time."
