Perfect :-)

Today in class we had to get into groups and draft some legislation. The problem was that gas meter readers were sick of getting bitten by dogs so we had to make up an Act or Regulation to help solve the problem.

Anyway, we had to write it out on a whiteboard and after 20 mins the lecturer told us to stop and said the point of it was just to see our writing style.

Then she stood at our group and said "Now I want to start with this group because this is the perfect example of how I want it done"

The only thing we did wrong was to put that the meter readers could use "reasonable force to protect themselves in the event of an attack". We knew at the time it wouldn't be right lol but couldn't think of anything else to write. At least we didn't say they have to carry a tranquiliser gun at all times which is what another group did

Lol no, Sassy, writing style is how you put a sentence together and the words you use etc hehe.

Is that a law paper your studying or something else like an English lit?

Being a RMA planner and writing Resource Consents, hearings, and drafting conditions for consents etc, things can get very wordy.

At times I like to think of myself as a "word smith" because at the end of the day thats what I do - write story's

What a cool job - not!
I'm just a red tape buster!
