Ever had a dream in a dream?

This is gonna sound confusing.

Last night I was dreaming and in my dream I was asleep and having a weird dream. Still with me? And in my dream I texted my friend while dreaming (still in my dream)and the text just had random words from my dream. Dream me woke up and I had a message from my friend on my phone saying that my last message didn't make sense.

When I actually woke up in real life I thought that what had happened in my dream had actually happened. So I checked my phone, but no messages. I texted my friend but havn't heard back yet.

I don't think I have ever had a dream in a dream before.

Have you? Do you have weird dreams, or can you not remember them?

I don't get to dream anymore. My psyche won't allow it. So I just fantasize now.

If I told people about my dreams I'd be dragged off to an environment with no sharp edges.

As for you, this is what comes from pondering how people process songs in their mind - shit like that fucks with your head!

I've had plenty of dreams within dreams. My 'favorite' (as in sarcasm) is the "I can't wake up" scenario, where I keep waking up from a dream ... only to still be in a dream. I think my record is five. I've noticed this happens more when I have a high fever. Fevers are always good for screwed up dreams.

What's reall awful is when they're so real (and boring) like waking up and getting ready for work. Man does that screw with your mind.

But it's at least better than having nightmares that you can't wake up from. Especially the ones where you're caught in that weird trying-to-wake-up-but-not-there moment where you suddenly can't move and can't talk, in the dream or in the waking world. Then after that moment of terror you finally wake up. Those are really no fun.

Of course maybe that's just me. I've noticed I'm atypical in a lot of things.
