Just because

Well, my Amsterdam expedition for work is building-up a head of steam. In fact most of my projects are waking people up.

I didn't really settle at my desk until the afternoon and then I did the classic procrastination-busting thing - picked my least easy job to do and did it. The rest of the to-do list tumbled within a couple of hours...

As a 'reward', I went out and ran along the riverbank for exactly 46 minutes; this being my last-known time to run 10km. I couldn't believe how easy it was, despite not having run so far for nearly 5 years. No stitches, no cramps, no 'stop-to-vomit' episodes. Not even the drool-spouting determination that I have been know to show during endurance stuff. I just ran and didn't stop until I hit the 46 minutes. When I slowed and stopped, all I could think was 'You bluffing bastard! You have been able to do this do it all the time!'

Maybe I was just focused enough?

I felt good about me, for sure.

And back home an outragiously-attractive, russian woman of my vintage, who lives 10 minutes away, said 'Hi' in Messenger and I sat, shooting the shit with her until 3am this morning...

And now... my bath.

Did you try the ceviche recipe?

I haven't had time to do any imaginative cooking recently, so the ceviche will have to wait until I am chilled-out and can organise a dinner-party with friends. I have a good reputation amongst my friends for my cooking, especially my tabouleh and herby baked-chicken...
