Poet’s Wish

What is a poet’s poetry of poems so deep
But an extension of his soul and self in mystery
What secrets to unfold, what dear discovery to keep
When one learns to see thru the tenderness and misery

With each stroke of the quill
Each rendering of ink on paper
More of him leys at knowledge’s sill,
to be read by all or the person proper.

Keep your light on me to your heart’s heart,
Drink it all in with tender sweet sips
Then read it again in whole, in part.
Let not your understanding of it leave your dear lips.

That is all I ask when I render this rendering
of sweet passion and tender suffering.
