Shiva and Shakti

No amount of practicing "techniques" is going bring you a spiritual experience. It might be that the search for mastery over "techniques" is a dead end, for studying methodology to the exclusion of developing heartfelt reverence for life in the sexual union may not lead to anything beyond a certain measure of control over the sex act, without the sense of holy awe and spiritual bliss that is central to the experience.

If you engage in this with a reverent heart, I believe you will experience spiritual feelings. These spiritual feelings formed the basis for several sexually-oriented religions, but it is up to you to place them into whatever metaphysical context best suits your own self.

Traditional tantric practices -- eating sacred foods, raising kundalini energy through your chakras, seeing the blue light, and so forth -- are of use to you only insofar as you accept the allegorical, religious, alchemical, or symbolic premises that underlie them.

The study of tehniques should only form a basis for you to expand within yourself, gain your own experiences and follow your own path to Nirvana.

I dont really agree. This is because I have had the benefit of instruction. A guru you might say.

So, no matter how you do it, I feel you must be "connected" to really engage in "Sacred Sex".

I get the feeling your emphasis is on "me" (you). My point would be that a sacred relationship is about sharing..the me must become WE...

Hope you get my drift.
