Okay, I can hear the cries of derision already. Still, I've decided that I'm going to give golf a try. The few times I got hauled out on to a course (all a loooooong time ago) I did all right for someone who'd never played before.

It'll get me out of the house, outside, and walking around. The added bonus is that, if I become good enough that friends would be willing to be seen with me, it gives me a way to keep in touch with some of the folks from my old job.

Good Luck on the golf course! I've never been much of a golfer, too many rules. I like to hold the club like a baseball bat and apparently, this is a no-no. So I stick to putt-putt! Have fun!

This makes me think of the time I tried out for the high school golf team - don't remember what my score was - but, I do remember the coach shaking his head. I think I shot in 9 holes what everyone else shot in 18. Needless to say I didn't make the team - oh well - golfs not for everyone ya know

I'm hoping that, after a few rounds, I can establish a handicap that has fewer than three digits to the left of the decimal point.
