Jim? Oh, sorry, that's Gym!
I was looking at joining one.
Gosh they're expensive!
And it's not like somebody's going to do the excercise for you!
There's something that has always amused me - the people who will get in their cars to drive 2km to get to gym, just to walk that distance on a treadmill! Couldn't they just have walked?
Or join a 'program' for riding excercise bikes. Why not just ride their bikes. Most of those people have one - even if they didn't, buying one's cheaper than the 'program'!
Are people really that afraid of the outdoors?
I walk and jog. I love it when it rains. I figure, you're going to get wet anyway (if you're putting in the effort), so what does it matter if your sweat gets wet? So long as it isn't freezing, it just feels nice.
And what better way to see and explore your neigborhood then on a bike?
Maybe I'm too philosophical, or maybe I'm just too practical. But that's how I see it.
As for joining a gym, well I think I'll keep my money, work harder at getting toned up without it, and just spend the savings on my friends.
