Lay it on me Jimi!

I am a little saddened.

I have not met anyone under 40 who has heard of Jimi Hendrix.

All right, a few have heard 'Foxy Lady' but really, that's not his best work, just best known.

But stop.

And listen.

Play his music, hear the lyrics.

Jimi talks to me. His words are real, relevant, profound. His music, pulsing, driving, powerful, yet so delicate sometimes.

My theme song. Highway Child.
It talks to and of me.

I put him on in the car.
I let it rip.
LOUD.
Lay it on me Jimi!

Purple Haze.

I connect. I am buzzing. I am driving like a nutcase. Oh well, at least THAT'S normal!

Why don't they hear him too? He speaks to us all. Through his words and music, he has a message.

That message is........

Don't choke on your own vomit and die!

Well I am glad to say that I must be the first person under 40 not only to reply to this blog but also to freely admit yes I am admitting not only that I know of Jimmy but that I LOVEEEEEEEEEE his music for I like most of my generation where breastfeed on either Rock N ROll n Flower Power music you know the age of WOODSTOCK or and I say this for I feel sorry for the poor darlings but the other lot of my generation where bought up on shhhhhhh I cant really say the words it just to hard to even think it was possible but yes I am talking "country music" nothing wrong with it personally but it is practically band from being played in my house LMBO!!! GIVE ME JIMMY any day off the week and all the others from that era and you will likely be seeing me dancing around in my personal little wonderland!!!
