Money Money Money

For those that don't know, which is basically everybody, I'm a semi-professional poker player. I play at casinos all the time. Home games, I master. And my least favorite, although it offers quite a bit of profit, is online.

I had to work a bit today. Not at my job. I had the day off, finally. But I had some stuff to do around the house. Parent's rules, you know. But once I was done, I noticed that I had a lot of time left.

"Fuck it. I'll play poker."

I hadn't played in a while, so I was unsure if my game was gonna be on or not. I played at a lower limit than I'm used to. The $1/$2 limits. No limit of course. I bought in for $60. Figured, hey, maybe I can at least get a good run.

The string of cards I got was unbelieveable. I mean, I consider myself to be a decent player, as I play at a casino at least once a week. But it wouldn't have mattered. Dealt the granddaddy of all starting hands, pocket aces, 8 times. 8. And they held up each time.

I was running the table. I got a good read on everyone. I knew almost exactly what they had, when they had it. They had no idea what I was playing. Full tilt. Noone there could get a read.

I ended up busting out 3 people. And they had nice sized stacks. I finished with upwards of $200. And I was playing low limit.

Now, I'm not saying I'm the God of Poker. All I'm saying is that with the string of cards I had, and the way I played them, I was unstoppable. I got lucky a few times. But mostly, I felt I outplayed them. I finished with a much more signifigant bankroll.

I'm very, very happy with the results. Nothing beats a good day playing poker.
