Come on! Come on! Come on let's go Space Truckin'!

Just like the title of this blong implies it's time to rock! (and to show that I am alive and well also). So for this installment I thought that I would post up my most recent playlist.

Of course it's classic rock in nature and for those of you who like that genre of rock .. this is for you! Hopefully some of these songs are familiar to you and bring back memories like they do for me! (or rock my ass off any time I hear them!)

Without further ado ..

Playlist 9/13/05

Rock and Roll Band - Boston
Bad Reputation - Thin Lizzy
Dirty White Boy - Foreigner
Two Tickets To Paradise - Eddie Money
Heavy Metal Love - Helix

What Kind Of Love Is This? - Streetheart
Hey You! - Bachman Turner Overdrive
Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - Genesis

LOVE some of those... don't know others... and of course no Canuck's playlist is complete without Rush, is it?

Geuss I'm not a Canuck then....(ok, actually I'm a brit)

Here's mine for you Newjack - time to compare;

KMFDM - the ENTIRE new album Hau Ruck
VNV Nation - Empires (again, entire album)
selected peices from the following;
smashing pumpkins, sisters of mercy, sting, loreena mckennitt,
savage garden, rammstein, police, paul oakenfold, new order, ozzy,
tkk, mike oldfield, linkin park, jean michel jarre, information
society, G'n'R, Enigma , KISS, Eminem, Depeche mode, Concrete
Blonde, C-Tec, Cranberries, Moby, AYria, Apollo 440, and Beegees.

Yes, the last one does actually fit in, and it's only one track. If you haven't heard it, listen to "this is where I came in".

If you want classic rock, it would be Triumph, Rush, Aldo Nova, Spoons, Devo, Depeche Mode, Blue Peter, Duran Duran, Kajagoogoo, and Oingo Boingo to name a few.

BTW - I like music.....can you tell ?

Dang!

I totally forgot about the Headpins!

If I was going to tack a couple songs onto your list, I'd add Rough Trade's "High School Confidential" and the Payola$ "Eyes of a Stranger". I guess they're not very rock and roll, but I dig those songs.

Not that you asked or anything.

I'll be quiet now. LOL

DCEbony: I loved the Headpins when I was growing up and in particular that song. It seems like no matter where I went I heard that song. And you're also right that "Highschool Confidential" by Rough Trade should have been on the list! (I always forget about that sing!). Also "Eyes Of Stranger" by The Payola$ .. another classic!

A few great canadian classics .. are you a Canadian living in the US? But thank you for your input my dear!

MistresoftheDark: I LOVE that song alot and it's one I always enjoy listening to. If you get the chance or know of anyone who has the Keith Urban version from this most recent Grammys during the "Southern Rock Tribute" you should take a listen because it's awesome!

And G n' R .. I remember those days .. those were college days for me .. I mean "Use Your Illusion" parts one and two? real gems! Good memories from 1991-92! I should put that on some day soon ...
