What are feelings? Where do they come from? How do you define them? What do you do with them? How do you deal with them?

Feelings are the things that drive you. They are the things that tell you when you are right or wrong. They are the things that say stop or go. The are the things that tell you when to say something to someone or to keep quiet. They also say stay or go, or maybe do or don't.

People always have answers to where feelings come from. Some may say from your mind. Okay, what part of your mind? Maybe it comes from your heart. Or,the answer that always amuses me, that feelings come from the pit of your stomach. My answer is that feelings come from the love you have for someone.

Defining your feelings is a problem I and others have, I believe. When your feelings come from love you can get very mixed up. You say yes and no, stop and go..all at the same time. Okay, let me stop or we'll be on a spinning top. Sometimes you need to forget love and heart and use mind. Yes, pure thought and sanity.

Now that you have defined them, what do you do with them? Follow them if you feel you need to talk to someone about something, then by all means TALK TO THEM. If you can't talk to them, then write to them, but get it out. Believe you me, if you let it build up, when you try to get it out, it will not be pretty.

Dealing with your feelings is a little tricky. You need to ask yourself "Am I right or wrong? Do I have a good point? Who do I talk to about this? When do I talk about it?"

Now..when you have it all together.

Go and Get it done.

Well said...NG! I'm often amazed at how powerful feeling can be and affect your behaviour and just how this can differ dramatically from one moment to the next depending on the input from others.
