One thing that seems to fuel a lot of comments in any social situation is movies, and the listing of the favorite, thereof.

My favorite is always a "me, too!" choice. That is when I say this is my favorite, people respond with a "You like that movie? Me, too!" But more than like, I love this movie. It is my favorite.

My favorite movie is "It's a Wonderful Life"

Now this doesn't have but one element of a true guy movie, bosoms, but it just makes me feel good. Sometimes, I wish to be George Bailey, even with his travails, just because he is such a decent and honorable man. He fights for that simple little town. He fights and doesn't know why. In a lot of ways, that is my life.

Only substitute "town" for "son".

There is kinda a cult of admiration around the film. I actually found a group of people that re-enact that movie listed on the internet. I am not that much of a fanatic about it, but I can admire the dedication of those people.

Ok, let me give five other movies that I really like. (I don't do the list of "10 most favoritest movies in the whole world" because I have a lot more than 10, and it changes from time to time.)

Secondhand Lions--Good movie about men raising sons

Braveheart -- Mel Gibson, swordfights and gore. Kewl!

Serenity -- This is what the Star Wars prequels should have looked like. The Operative was just as cool as a villian as Darth Vader without the breathing effects.

Revenge of the Nerds -- Old movie, I know (Hey IAWL is old too) but I loved how the geeky nerds got their revenge and the girl at the end.

I also really love movie spoofs, but they have been missing lately, but one of the funniest ones I have seen recently (rental) was "Don;t be a Menace to South Central while Drinking Your Juice In The 'Hood", fromt he Wayans. You kinda forget how funny they can actually be.
