One thing that always seems safe to talk about is movies. ANd everyone has a favorite or favorites, and even though I made a post on that and it disappeared into cyberaether, I will recreate it sometime later.
But let me tell you instead about my Hollywood experience. I was in two movies.
The first movie was Some Kind of Wonderful. I was an uncredited extra thug that was a part of the punks that show up to trash the house at the end of the movie. It wasn't exactly a shinign moment in film, but hey I can see my legs! In Levis! Among five other peoples!
I got this plum of a role due to my girlfriend's father being a set carpenter on the movie.
The other movie I was in, quite by accident was one shot here in my hometown of Orange. The movie "That Thing You Do" was shot a pretty popular hang out. (Called Watson's Drug. It has a real diner I happened to be going to eat when they were scotuing for it and got a number to call if I was interested in being part of the crowd shots. I did, and they put me in as part of the crowd. The funny thing is, the costume they gave me was almost exactly what I wore for Some Kind of Wonderful, blue jeans and a white t-shirt. (Although in SKOW, I also had on a leather jacket. IN TTYD, I got to wear a non-descript plaid shirt.)
Funny thing is, neither one of those movies is amoung my favorites.
